Re: cello guy animation

Yeah, I like the design...very nice! Re: the lag, for reference footage (like an animatic clip) I avoid importing a movie file. That takes too much CPU power and RAM that is better used for animating/interacting with Moho. Instead, I prefer to use a low-res JPEG image sequence because it's frame acc...

Re: Mirroring action for other side!

Sorry, slight correction to what I wrote above. To do what I described, you should use Swap Sides, not Mirror Points. Swap Sides will flip the point positions across the select point. For example, this is useful for making a shape morph smoothly from a left side profile to a right side profile. Mirr...

Re: Mirroring action for other side!

I agree with Neeters guy, Mirror Points is a great way to 'flip' vector shapes that needs to deform across seamlessly inside an action. I often use this tool for smooth 3/4 to 3/4 turns. When Mirror Points works, it's awesome but it can sometimes fail and mess up the curvature in a few points. But e...

Re: Try this if Moho is not running smoothly

For me, one cause of a major slow down happens when an unintended pre-zero keyframe is created. Because this keyframe(s) can appear a thousand or more keyframes before frame zero, the extra evaluation Moho has to calculate puts a major drag on performance. (Mostly affecting interactivity.) To correc...

Wow! This movie looks beautiful and amazing Victor!

I always expect nothing less than the highest quality from you and the Cartoon Saloon crew but I'm still stunned with this latest work.

Congratulations to everybody involved!

Re: Problem with action that can only be used once

Can you post a screen cap of the timeline? An Action (i.e., Regular and Morph) is just a 'preset' of keyframes that gets pasted into the selected channels, so assuming the keyframes are appropriately set, it should work. In this case, if you want it to 'ping pong', you may need a second action that ...

Re: mp4 Render Butchering Colours?

Yes it's correct when I render a frame as a PNG, but it feels rather impractical to do it that way when I'd like the program to just render mp4 correctly. For a variety of reasons, I never bother with rendering final animations as a movie file from Moho. As a matter of fact, I rarely do that from a...

Re: 'Little Green Dog Explains' Videos List

Tip: I compiled MQC as an .exe so users wouldn't have to install AutoHotKey (AHK) if they didn't want to. This seemed like a good idea but last week, due to a change in policy, I found I was no longer able to run the .exe version of MQC on my computer at work. To work around this issue, I simply mad...

Re: follow path

Yeah, not being able to easily define the 'start' point is an annoyance. IMO, this should be as easy as: 1. select the point and 2. select a 'Set Start Point' command. Sadly, that feature doesn't exist. But here are a a few workarounds I use: Sequencer Method When I just need to offset the 'start po...

Re: "Render Farm" Software

Sorry for going off on a tangent but, IMO, Moho Exporter is a very useful feature, but it's also clunky and unfinished. What makes it especially frustrating is that it needs just a few UI adjustments to become a truly great tool. The one thing I really dislike about Moho Exporter is that it makes in...

Re: "Render Farm" Software

I'm not aware of network render managers that natively support Moho, but at my work place we use Deadline Render. A custom Submit To Deadline (button) script had to be written by the programmers and I'm reasonably sure they referenced the Command-Line Renderer information from near the end of the ma...

Re: Cartoon Saloon is looking for Moho artists

SimplSam, great find! Thank you for sharing that link. :D That said, I still feel Smith Micro should bundle a Moho Pro 12.5 license with Moho Pro 13. IMO, Moho Pro 12.5 is still the most stable and functional version of Moho available. Including the extra SN with Moho Pro 13 could make the purchase ...
