Re: Part of a bigger project I am working on.
Nice movement going on, the streetlights etc..., the only thing that stood out if I could make a suggestion, would be more blur to the yellow light effect that rolls over the car with each passing streetlight. The shape was a little too clean cut to me, so from being a great detail, it became a bit ...

Re: Ant Walk. Constructive Criticism needed
Have no idea why someone on a different Gecko facebook page posted this, but of all things it was a video animation of how an ant walks. Go figure

Re: AnimeStudioTutor.com - Competition
Thanks, That'll help, I'll also pull him from the file, which should take care of it from my end. I felt weird bringing it up as I wanted to participate just for the fun of it, but then I had to deal with the rights issue. Anyway thanks for the feedback, and I hope there will be a bunch of entries. LY

Re: AnimeStudioTutor.com - Competition
Just a question on the entries, I began the process but saw that it's required to share the original anime file with rigs etc... is that just for proof that the work was made in AS?? Also, I need to make sure that my work does Not fall under the "Creative Commons" as my main character is u...

Re: So, my target bones have--OMG! LOOK OUT!
Just about to call it a night after working on 4 scenes that I ended up completely scrapping, and saw your post, I'm sure the details of what you want and what's rendering is driving you nuts, but from a viewer stand point it looks pretty good. Not that you needed more work, but....if you made his s...

Re: Ant Walk. Constructive Criticism needed
I don't think anything could have topped that spider walk tutorial to show how an insect (or arachnid) should be animated to walk. And since mtbuck is going for a character ant, the walk is obviously going to be more anthropomorphic, but in any event, I finished an ant walk for my latest work, I don...

Re: New HeadRig experiment, smartbones + switchlayers
Man, really nice movements. I'm really looking forward to using smart bones in pro. I'm trying to be disciplined and finish my entire animation before switching from debut. probably in another 3 months. (that's why I'm posting and lurking here so much, while I'm rendering scenes I visit the board). ...

Re: Funny Cartoons
Oddly fixating at points.
Maybe it 's just me, but I thought the outside shot of the house lingered a few seconds too long, so it was a little slow out of the starting gate, and as for the dialog, at times was a hard for me to hear what was being said. (that just might be my ears though)

Re: Website update using Anime Studio
Very cool Vern, I may have to get in touch as I'm planning an upgrade in the near future to my site and am looking to incorporate a ton (well maybe half a ton) of animation. My architect doesn't specialize in animation so it's a bit difficult to know the way forward. Congrats on the use of your prof...

Re: Koalas Cartoon
by SvenReyter » Thu Apr 03, 2014 8:56 am Sargumphigaus, I thought there would be issue doing the turn with switch layering for some reason. I thought that I may have issues with bone movement or the eyes and mouth switches if I made the head a switch layer. I'll give that a try tonight. The body tu...

Re: I'm A Fungi: Decomposition
I have to totally agree with you on the Frozen story being disappointing. When I saw the commercials, I thought it looked really weak, if not flat out dumb, but I sort of thought the same way about the Tangled commercials. For what it's worth I thought Tangled was brilliantly done. So when my kids w...

Re: Koalas Cartoon
Still laughing about Mr. Ed with Tourette's, I think Nick and Will could do something with that one :D . As for the Koalas, just dive into a new file, import them and experiment like crazy. Try a head turn in a switch layer, it takes a little effort, but there's plenty of help here on the board when...

Re: I'm A Fungi: Decomposition
Nice work as always, Just a quick question on the Frozen animation, how did you get permission to use the actual Disney soundtrack? I've thought about doing animation using copyrighted stuff as spoof etc in order to get more views, but didn't think Youtube would let something like the soundtrack sli...
