Further investigation - found a Kingston 128GB SSD for $235.00 (I live in Australia) - that's almost half the RRP I just read in a magazine, and it got a good review. I'd actually like to get a Memoright SSD - heard REALLY good things about them and they are cheaper than other name brand manufacture...

What a great documentary they have for that band. Devin Townsend is coming out to Australia next yea...

No its not me, its Marty Friedman from megadeth.
Oh cool, hehe. I was going to ask if you played guitar or not. I'm a huge heavy metal fan, but never really got into Megadeth. Heard a track off a compilation a few years back, it was cool :-D Sorry to go off topic!

Thanks Steve. They are expensive, but logically, you don't need a massive drive for your OS and software. Use an external for storage etc. I've read good things about storing user directories on separate drives to save space and increase some performance. Yeah you don't need to partition, it's basic...

Hardware - SSD (solid state drives) - Do you have one?

Hey everyone, My poor little hard drive that has worked so hard for me for 6+ years (I try not to spend where spending is not required!) is about to die on me. I've had Windows disk recovery up a few times this week :-( I am going to purchase one over the coming days (probably tomorrow, I love my co...

Hehehe! Nice I like it :-D I am working on animating some jokes to get some actual animation done, that is, a project finalised!

My gawd, I have told that Batman joke before so many times and nobody thought it was that funny - glad to see you do!

One thing to look at is how you are FILLING your shapes. I can't for the life of me find the post, but there was a good explanation about this. A person was trying to animate a, well, "symbol" style person - like you'd see on a toilet door. He was having overlapping and tearing issues - tr...

Sounds illegal to me. If you can download tracks from a perfectly purchasable CD or movie from a DVD, then yeah it's illegal. Easy way to tell is do a Google on the music, video you are attempting to download to check on it's user rights - there are people who give away their own film and music for ...

I agree about the slashing getting, boring, I downloaded the demo and was a tad repetitive. But for a $10 game it's OK :-) I totally agree about putting their talents and energies into other avenues. I read an interview about the game developers and they used "traditional" animators, inste...

Sugar Rush - cinematic trailer for 2D video game

Looks like fun!

Animation is nice, sure with the talent and effort someone could put this together in AS.

Enjoy!

Video game - Shank, nice 2D animation

Found this game on an top indie games list. Looks really cool! A beat-em up platformer. Reminds of me of Streets of Rage and platformers from the Genesis days, except with WAY sexier graphics. There's a bit of blood to go with the action (no gore or gibs, decapitations etc., just splashes of blood),...
