Switching Group Layers

I've been working on trying to turn a character's head and/or body, like a lot of other people, and have been following the various threads about it with great interest. I have a head where the various parts (face, eyes, nose, mouth, etc.) are on separate layers inside a Group layer. I've drawn a st...

grimble - Very nice work! I think you're off to a good start here. I agree with most of the comments others have made. I think the "acting" aspect is very important in animation, but I also think it's probably the hardest part. As I said, you're off to a good start, so I'm sure the next an...

Actually on the Mac (OS 10.3.8) you don't need to use the commandline to run another copy of Moho. If you choose the Moho application in the Finder and then choose Duplicate from the File menu it will make a duplicate called Moho copy that you can open and run a different file in at the same time as...

I would also like to see more than two colors available in a gradient, as well as control over placement and midpoint.

I just downloaded version 5.1 and reset my Wacom settings for Moho, and now they work fine. Yay!

I've just downloaded the new version, 5.1, and reset my Wacom buttons for Moho, and now they all seem to work just fine. This really makes workflow much, much better!

I find the variable line in the Freehand tool works fine with the pen and the Wacom tablet. The only problem is that you don't see the effect until you assign a shape to the line. That can be a little disconcerting. But it works great. I'm wondering if any of you Mac users (I'm using OS 10.3.8) have...

It doesn't seem to be working, though. I have the tablet and pen buttons mapped to specific commands and tools in other programs, but when I try it with Moho it doesn't seem to work. I'll explore it again, and contact Wacom if I think they can help. I'm using Moho 5.0.9, by the way, on Mac OS 10.3.8...

Using a Wacom tablet with Moho

I've always used a Wacom tablet with most of my graphics applications, including Moho, for many years. The tablet works fine when using the pen; I can draw, select and translate things, and the pen pressure works well. The only things that don't work with Moho are the tablet buttons (across the top,...

Are you moving the bones with the Translate tool instead of the Rotate tool? I think you'd want to use the Rotate tool to move arm and leg bones.

5.0.9 crashing when I press the Render command

I've been having a problem with the Mac version 5.0.9 crashing when I use the Render command (cmd-R). I'm drawing a character, and testing various brushes to use to make moustaches and beards on him, and rendering a still to check how he looks. Then I close the render window and edit the line or bru...

Well... I think I've solved the problem. I finally did find keyframes in the fill color channel in the Timeline. I deleted them and the Style now retains its characteristics throughout the animation. Sometimes you just have to panic and ask for help before finding the answer yourself!

thanks,

Animating Styles

...or rather UN-animating Styles. I'm using 5.0.9 and I've got a character I've made and animated walking. After animating I decided to give the character's limbs and body all the same Style, so that I could change it globally when I wanted to. This is the first time I've used Styles, and they are g...

Thanks. That workround of copying the bone layer works, but it's not ideal. But it'll do for now.

Copying Actions to another layer

When you make an Action it seems to be available only for the layer you make it for. For example, I made a Skeleton layer with bones for a whole character, and make a walk cycle action. Now I have a different character with another skeleton layer and I want to use the Action I made in that skeleton ...
