There are curves in Moho, in the timeline. I haven't used them all that much myself. Don't they work with bones? I would think they would work with most motion.

The first tablet I ever had was a Calcomp 12x12. That was a bunch of years ago. It was a good tablet, but it was really way too big. It worked well, but the pen required a couple of watch batteries, and was therefore heavier than the batteryless Wacom pen. The Wacoms I have (Graphire and Intuos) are...

My Graphire that I use at home is 4x5 inches, and it covers the whole screen without any problem. If I'm drawing something detailed, I'll zoom in. The size has not been a problem. At work I use a 6x9 inch tablet, and I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display. Big screen, small tablet. Still no problem ...

OK. I stand corrected about the obsolescence of the AVI format. I've always found Quicktime files to be smaller and usually of higher quality than the files I've seen in AVI. However the DivX compressor is quite good for AVI. I make animations for both Mac and Windows users (for scientific presentat...

You can get a Wacom Graphire 3 tablet for just under $100 US, or about $98 Euros. This is the lowest model. I have one at home and I like it a lot. It's small, 4x5 inches, but I have never found it to be limiting. Of course I only have a 13" screen at home, but even so it works fine. At work I ...

AVI is an old and obsolete format. Quicktime is a better format, and makes a smaller file. But the best way to render is to render to image files, such as JPEG or PNG, and then put the sequence together in an editing program like Quicktime or Cleaner. You can then export to AVI if it's what you real...

Also, with the Wacom tablet you can set commands into a pop-up menu that pops up when you press one of the pen buttons. You assign a button to the pop-up menu, then go into the Wacom preferences and make a menu with tool commands, and whatever commands you want. Then when you press that pen button t...

I'd like to see a way to import the sound track at the current frame. That way you could have the silence you need at the start, if you need some, and animate using the soundtrack in the right place. Also it would be nice to be able to select the soundtrack in the timeline as an object and move it t...

It seems to me that it would be a good thing to be able to specify which frame your sound track will start on. Your scene may not start with someone speaking immediately. If there is silent action for several seconds and then the speaking begins, then you have to be able to bring your sound track in...

Actually that's the checkbox to make the grid visible. Disable Grid Snapping is in the View menu. I found it by accident.

OK, I'm a dummy. I just investigated further and found the Disable Grid Snapping checkbox. Duh! It was right in front of me!

My face is red.

I don't see that problem. For me the points snap right onto the grid lines. What I'd like to be able to do is to use the grid WITHOUT having the points snap to the grid. Sometimes it's useful to have the grid just as a visual aid and not a snapping tool. Is there any way to turn off grid snapping? J...

Onion skinning basically shows the outline of the elements on your layers. Your vector layers show as lines because that's what they are, but with image layers the outline of the image is a rectangle, so that's what you see. Images are bitmaps, and don't have lines that can be shown they way vectors...

Another way is, if you have a Wacom tablet/pen or a three button programmable mouse, assign G and T to buttons on the pen or mouse. On the tablet you can also assign commands such as tools to the programmable buttons at the top of the pad. I've done this, and also use the Popup Menu feature of the W...

That's a great idea, cribble. I hadn't thought of doing it that way. I'll give it a try over the weekend (that's probably the first chance I'll have to do it). It'll be a little more work to animate all that but it might be worth it if it works. At the moment the Groups layers are switching just fin...
