ASP9 disables ASP8?
I installed ASP9 on my iMac-- (separate folder in APPS )... Also on that iMac is my copy of ASP8. After the install --- ASP8 no longer loads properly-- all the menus are frozen-- windows missing-- basically the program no longer works. (latest Mountain Lion OS) I didn't have this problem with ASP 7 ...

Image sequence ASP9 bug
I have an image sequence of 300 png files (a 10 second rotating Earth) Transparent BG around the earth. When automatically imported into ASP8-- everything is perfect-- the renders are clean and crisp. When imported into ASP9-- the same resulting image sequence is horrible-- jagged edges on the pngs ...

Re: Actions ASP8
Ahh, well-- that's too bad-- but no problem to remake for each layer. I was hoping they were like PS actions that I could apply from a library I would construct. But no matter.
Thanks for the reply.

Actions ASP8
I created an action to rotate an object on a layer. Saved, etc. Clicking on another vector layer, I want to apply that same action to an element on this second layer. But, the Action has disappeared from the action list. Click back on the layer I created it in, and it reappears in the action list. A...

Re: Believable tires
Yes, I have the shadow already-- and I also added the "road" pieces to fatten the wheels slightly and added a 1px softedge to help the blend.

Believable tires
Hello, I'm looking for thoughts as creating believable turning tires on a vehicle I'm making going down a road (side view) Currently, the truck tires are perfectly round when they rotate--- which makes the truck look like it's not really on the road. I'm thinking that if the tires flatten a bit at t...

Re: Distort a Group layer to fit into/inside another layer
Also-- I see that this method works if I export the truck first as a QT movie with alpha layer --then reimport that QT into the timeline and apply your bone method to it . But the quality of the new QT asset is somewhat less than that of the original vector files that created it. (animation codec wi...

Re: Distort a Group layer to fit into/inside another layer
Very ingenious solution--- works perfectly for an Image layer (I tested your suggestion.). But how can I apply this to the group layer without rendering out a still frame (as in your example) since I want the truck wheels to keep spinning. Can't seem to get this method to work on a group layer. rega...

Distort a Group layer to fit into/inside another layer
I have a 18-wheel truck (elements contained in a single group layer) that I want to "drive" into a smaller open box (another grouped layer). How can I get it to go inside the smaller box, other than using the Layer Scale Tool (which would shrink the truck down to fit the into the open box ...

Thanks for the link-- works great, glad they finally fixed it. I just put the program back in the mix. As for bringing the creator/developer (Mike) back-- that's a good move. I had some early on email conversations with him when the program was picked up by e-frontier-- I think he's a solid guy and ...

Yes, this I know--I was hoping to use ASP5 (vector layers) as a poor-man's AI and export to PS-CS2 with sharp/crisp edges -- but examining the edges in PS by employing the method you describe above is acceptable in this case. Perhaps a future version will allow exporting stills at varied resolutions...
