@mimer No worries if he is meant to be that slow 8) Short or little legs doesn't have to result in a slow walk, think about Tom (Tom and Jerry) doing a little sprint across the ground, or a baby character making a dash for it. Have a look at Tom's sprint at about 1:30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

They all mostly look pretty good to be honest :-D

I don't have time to fully critique right now, just wanted to say they look cool. Can't wait to see them in action in a game.

Quick critique; rabbit character just seems WAY too slow.

Ahhh, gothca. Thanks for clearing that up - and yes I know what you are talking about. I think I almost gave up on AS a couple of times when I first started playing with it.

Thanks Funks and Gilles!

Hey Funks, yeah you are right - we should leave it as something fun to do. Scrap my ideas about rules etc. Good idea about the pack - could be like "Tropfest" which has a "key" item for each years competition. Agree about sound. Had a busy few days but got time off next couple so...

Cool as, I will go ahead and get some images together and put some rules together. So basic rules (please give input) should be I guess: - run time e.g. 30-45 seconds - audio or no audio? (I think it should have audio) - video size e.g. 1280 x 720 - maybe post a youtube video, and entries posted as ...

No worries guys! I totally found it by chance, as most of the cool stuff I find on the lovely internet. Well, I think a cut-out challenge would be nifty! What if someone (me) select a set of images, and we make the challenge based on those? I can make it up as a pack, put it somewhere to download an...

Hi Kedric. Selgin's comment "hand is wrong" - I can see he is referring to the hand being backwards - unless he is meant to be point with his pinky finger :) Actually by the look of it, both hands are on backwards. Definitely need to speed up limb movement like Selgin says, and second the ...

Terry Gilliam - Do it yourself animation show

This is fantastic! The man behind the animations in Monty Pythons Flying Circus.

Well and truly before my time. Please take your time to watch this "masterclass" on cut-out animation!

@ Mikdog - yah man I had a Wii but got stolen, spewin' :-( Never got a chance to get online and get some Wiiware. I actually spent a couple of years just playing SNES and Medadrive even though I had a Xbox 360 and gaming PC available. Like you say about Mario Bros still being playable - it's a testa...

Thanks Funk - I've been a bit quiet on the forums and had thought about this process in the past and just wanted to get active on the site again with some discussion.

Polished FBF - hell no, haha, I don't have the time nor passion for it. I'm all about telling a story 8)

Thanks Selgin, I was reading that post when I started writing this 8) I was just thinking of a way to do this bare bones AS, but this makes it a lot easier in work flow. So essentially this does what I was talking about, with having to drag stuff off screen manually. So if it makes the previous fram...

I see where you are going - using switch layers for FBF was the obvious solution that has been brought up in the past in other discussions, and that's the way I figured FBF would be utilised in AS. If you were going to do that, you may as well just draw all your frames and dump them in a switch and ...
