Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update
There was a software which was 2D and had bones before: Animo, by Cambridge Animation Systems, in the early 90's. Its pricing was prohibitive: a single user license was, in 2000, about 5000.- $. And they went bankrupt and were bought by Toon Boom. They who do not learn from history are doomed to re...

Re: Will there be a trial version of Moho 12?
The SM site says: A free trial of Moho will be available in the future. If you want to get started wtih Moho today, see the links above to buy a copy. How odd. They release the best version of Moho ever, everyone's buzzing about it, but they raise the price and don't let people test it out. It's li...

Re: Will there be a trial version of Moho 12?
It used to be you could get a trial if you gave them your credit card number. I don't know if they still do that.

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
Fact is that the first (buggy and feature regression-prone) version of OT was used in feature-length Ghibli productions - to them it was "finished" enough to do the job at hand. Are you sure about that? I would have thought the splitting from the Premium version would have introduced all ...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
Ideasman worked on getting OpenTOonz to the Linux platform Looks like his effort would have been better suited to fixing some of the bugs first, THEN worrying about converting it to Linux. His effort was aimed at getting a professional 2d animation platform on Linux. Who are we to say his efforts a...

I wonder how many people there are in software purgatory?
Everybody with a computer, I reckon.

Smithmicro don't realize a couple of things very important... Agree 20 % (option 5 only) 1. The name. Apparently there was a vote. The people have spoken. but obviously not enough Spanish people. 2. The website. If you are the type of person who judges a product by its website, you're not li...

Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update
In any case I don't expect SM to be moved by the concerns of individual customers. They're going to look at their sales balance. If it turns out they miscalculated, they might adjust the price. I hope not! That kind of thinking is what put Toon Boom's prices through the roof. If their sales go up (...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
Blender is no more difficult to learn than Maya or Max or Houdini. Learning to use a 3d application just takes time and a little bit of effort. I'm with Greg here - 2D artists don't WANT to learn something as complex as Maya or Max or Houdini. Ideasman worked on getting OpenTOonz to the Linux platf...

Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update
The increase in price is a bummer, but the more I look it from the perspective of where the software is at now, I don't think it's totally unjustified. The new version may be worth it, but it has been a 33% increase in price. Although a lot of us who aren't upgrading yet could afford it, it's impor...

Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update
I thought about that, but then I saw that they only offer upgrades from 11 right now, so you'd be buying the full version. That said, based on the current pricing structure, that would be the same as upgrading twice anyway. Might as well split it into two payments, upgrade now, and enjoy 12 vs. pay...

The barman is so bright white against the background, in all the wide shots my eye was drawn to him instead of the main characters. Consider making him less contrasting with the bar.

How many cycles does it do before the wolf jumps up and eats her? I've watched it for 5 minutes now.
