I use celtx which is great. I don't think I miss it not being in AS.

I reckon overlapping will be OK. I'll try making them evenly spaced and the same speed.

In AS5.6 you can create your circle, select all the points and then scripts/draw/split curve.
Might give you what you want.

I had a similar issue with a .wav created from GoldWave. In my case I loaded the .wav into Audacity, saved, reimported into AS5 and it exported fine.
I did a LOT of searches and there were quite a few other suggestions so apologies if this doesn't resolve it for you.

There's a 3000 frame limit on the non-pro version.
