My New Demo Reel

After finishing Part 1 of WhiteLand, I wanted to take a break from animating and make an updated demo reel. Here it is.

Re: WhiteLand: Part I

Thank you. @Pinesal The music in the Opening Scene of WhiteLand was composed, by my band instructor, for that scene. Unfortunately, composing music takes a long time and I couldn't wait for my band instructor to compose a new score for Part I, so I had to go about looking for Public Domain music fro...

Re: WhiteLand: Part I

That was freakin' stunning, man! Incredible art, good music, interesting story. I look forward to seeing where this goes next. You're seriously just in high school? Just curious... Was that all done in AS9? Thrashador Why, thank you! Yes, I'm going to be a senior next year. All the animatio...

WhiteLand: Part I

shXpFbTGdqE Immediately following the Opening Scene , here is Part 1 of WhiteLand. This chapter provides a back story with events that take place 3,000 years before the main story line. I completed this in exactly a month, which is an improvement over the 3 months I spent making the opening scene. ...

Re: WhiteLand Scenery Compilation

Yes. I've been using that effect a lot in my film, WhiteLand. You can see some of this scenery used in the Opening Scene.

Re: Gradient Malfunction

Gradients, like image textures, are influenced by bone strength, not vector motion. Independent of bone influence, you must use the effect handle with the select shape tool. I'm aware of this, but my problem had nothing to do with gradient animation; my problem involved the gradient being mysteriou...

Re: Gradient Malfunction

I recently had the same problem with gradients being effected in strange ways with bone and vector movement. I have not figured out what exactly what causes this issue so I don't have an answer for you. In my case it was a subtle effect so I eliminated it. I'm glad I'm not alone on this. Since I co...

Re: Gradient Malfunction

You're referring to smart bone actions? If I understand what you're saying, you're animating the gradient in the action, but it's not showing up when you use use the smart bone on the mainline? That's not what I'm talking about. There's no gradient movement within the smart bones action at all. The...

Gradient Malfunction

U02B2Wwymuw Having spent a great deal of time rigging this female character's head turn, I'm quite frustrated with the gradient malfunction shown in the above video. I'm even more frustrated by the fact that this problem only occurs when I'm in the mainline; when I'm working within the head turn ac...

Re: WhiteLand: Opening Scene [FINALLY] Completed.

Thank you, although I'm not sure if the final product will be completed "soon." Maybe in a couple years... I'm making good progress though.

Re: WhiteLand: Opening Scene [FINALLY] Completed.

Thank you, all. I'm quite motivated by the feedback. I have a lot of characters to rig and, so far, the only one that I've completed is the one in this scene. I'm going to be very busy... :(

WhiteLand: Opening Scene [FINALLY] Completed.

HKeaSnkEiY4 I'm thrilled to have finally completed this scene. With my annoying school work, I've only been able to animate on weekends. This is going to be an ambitious project, for me, and I'm probably going to need some friends to assist me. My band instructor is writing the original score, whic...
