File type ANME is an Anime Studio file. You can ONLY open it in Anime Studio. What do you want to open the file with? If you are expecting to open a movie file then you must export the animation as a movie.

They neglect to mention that File > Render is in the PRO version only, not the basic version. To see the rendered result in non-PRO version you have to use File > Export Animation.
