Re: animating shadows?

Noisy interpolation can be a bit tricky to figure out, but you can get exactly what you want with the right numbers. Took me a bit of time to figure out exactly what was going on. Amplitude: How much it moves Scale: How long it takes or the "speed" of the change in amplitude. Amplitude controls how ...

Re: animating shadows?

You could try a noisy keyframe to the shadow layer opacity or the fill opacity or color. Adjust or fiddle with the settings to get the effect you want.

Re: Another logo created with Anime Studio

Looks good! There is a slight rocket thrust look to the emanating light, was wondering would it be an interesting experiment to keep everything the same but show a little bit of the stage light lens cover and/or some of the outline of the hardware behind the light beam? Interesting idea. If this we...

Re: Another logo created with Anime Studio

Thanks for the comment! I really like the new workflow for converting to Adobe Illustrator. Keep in mind I don't want or need AI type drawing tools, I just need a way to export vector for small, resolution independent graphics that I've drawn in Anime Studio. I do a lot of print work with Anime Stud...

Re: Anime Studio with Hash Animation:Master

I haven't kept up with 3rd party extensions for Animation Master, but I seen to remember someone was working on a "Midi" plugin for it. It could load in a midi file to control movement of rigged elements. I have a bunch of music I created over the years in midi format and was looking forward to anim...

Another logo created with Anime Studio

Here's another logo created mostly with Anime Studio. It's for my brother's community theater in Harrisonburg VA. When I say "mostly" done in Anime Studio, I mean that all the initial drawing and tracing was done in Anime Studio and then it was converted to Adobe Illustrator via SWF export for bette...

Re: Reset the Origin Direction?

The direction of the origin "arrows" is based on whether the layer is flipped. To "reset" it you have to flip it back. You can check if a layer is flipped by opening the layer properties. There is a checkbox for flip horizontal and flip vertical. Not sure what you described is completely accurate. D...

Re: svg export

SVG import is simply an extension of the other "vector" imports like eps and Adobe Illustrator. The math to import AI files is basically the same as SVG, they both use the same types of curves and have the same issues. Workaround You can export vector format from Anime Studio using the Flash/swf exp...

Re: Simple Stroke Vector font - very few points

This is a "custom" font I designed myself a long time ago for use with the interface drawing in the GUI of AS. I converted it to draw letter shapes on vector layers. Vern, would you be willing to share the GUI drawn version of this? Would save me from reinventing the wheel. Thanks. I will see if I ...

Re: Inflated font

Not to point fingers or complain about the vector change, but it did seem like way back when the change was made to vector curve performance, the slight "curve" to completely peaked points and shapes jumped out to me as a potential problem. I never had an issue because on the rare occasions I used f...

Yeehaa!

I haven't had that much trouble pausing and scrubbing to see subliminal images since I first got "Fight Club" on VHS! ;)

Re: Inflated font

This may help... Open properties of the text outline layer. Select the "Vectors" tab. Check the box "Legacy Curves". A while back (I forget which version) the properties of curves for a vector layer were modified. This dramatically improved/changed curve behavior, especially between peaked points. O...

Re: Why Is Anime Studio Pro So Cheap?

Here's a story... Years and years ago my first 3D program was Raydream Studio because it was affordable on my budget and produced great results. Loved that thing. Did great stills but SUCKED at animation. Cost: $99 Raydream bites the dust, had to find something new. Tried a bunch of other 3D apps an...

Re: Why Is Anime Studio Pro So Cheap?

There's another program with a very similar philosophy towards it's target customers; Hash's Animation Master. Both apps are marketed to "starving artists" or hobbyist animators. Animation Master is the most amazingly powerful 3D program regardless of the price. It has lots of standard high end feat...

Re: Why Is Anime Studio Pro So Cheap?

I've been using Anime Studio since it was called "Moho". Back then there was only one version and it was developed by one lonely guy and sold for the staggering price of $99. Even back then without all of the amazing features added over the years it was worth way more than its price. I think price o...
