Re: follow path

Another fun trick: Make the path a closed shape. Now you have a continuous track you can loop items around. I use this to animate items like bees moving continuously around a beehive. (One of the 'choice points' for the three bears segment in Puss-In-Book on Netflix has that specific bit in the bac...

Re: New website - did I miss something?

I think it's pretty recent. I believe I went to the Smith Micro site last month and Graphics still had its own section under "Products" at that point and linked to https://www.smithmicro.com/graphics/ But now I see that the Graphics link has been relegated to the footer. Looks like they ended the Mo...

So excited this movie is getting made. I still have my childhood copy of this book sitting on my desk!

Re: Animation icon clutter

Not sure which version you're using, but try going to View/Timeline Channels. From there, I would hit "None" and then go through and turn on the channels you would like to see all the time (the + button), and channels you would like to see when in use (the o button).

Re: High quality render error

I need to see everything in test renders. It's not cartoon, it's literally frame by frame video editing and mistakes can be very tiny, so no way to notice them without background. yikes! is there a reason you need to do this moho? i can't really imagine moho is the best tool for image sequence vide...

Re: Frame by frame

cool stuff!

i also wish moho had better FBF capabilities. project files tend to get pretty sluggish for me whenever i incorporate FBF layers.

Re: First touch with Moho

The referenced Tutorial document is available in the help menu. See the link below: https://imgur.com/gallery/cXH9dTW Incidentally, I think there are quite a few tutorials on YouTube regarding character creation/setup. Working off of a reference image shouldn't really change those core principles an...

I'm also interested in seeing/hearing more about these smart mesh background elements (if you do decide to create any sort of tutorial)!

Re: Rotating bone slows the program

I've also had this problem in 12.5 and 13, even on rigs that seem pretty simple. I usually make it a point to hide all non-essential scene elements and sometimes will even hide parts of the rig that I don't need to see (example: if you're animating the legs of a character, you might hide the head/to...

Wow, really impressive stuff! Does this level of complexity bog down the rig considerably?

Re: Layer disappears with Smart bone dial

It sounds like it's behaving as anticipated. The main timeline (and any keyframes you've created for the main bone group) should disappear in favor of the timeline you've created for this new action. The double actions you're seeing are probably due to the "separate actions for positive and negative...

Re: Moho is updated to 13.0.1

Still zero performance improvements on the Mac. Moho 13 is still close to unusable on my Mac*, while version 12 is quite zippy. Man if that stuff doesn't get fixed I'm seriously considering using some other software. *(MBPro late 2016, 16 GB RAM, Razor Core X eGPU with Vega 64 GPU). Jumped on the M...
