Selecting a layer with a shortcut?

Is there a shortcut key or shortcut + mouse click to select a different layer. Photoshop has this ability and it really speeds things up. In photoshop you hover over the object and press Ctrl + L mouse click. The layer with the object your mouse is over is selected.

Just checking...

Thanks!

This sounds like a really interesting tool, however, Google is not allowing me to download the script. Can anyone post it somewhere else. Much appreciated!

WOW! They really dropped the price. I bought my for 80.00 just 4 months ago from Tiger. I really never understood why anyone would pay full price for ANY software, but then again we are an "upgrade" crazy society.

I get what your saying. I worked in Maya for over 10 yrs, however, there is no software that automates the process of drawing a character from a 3d model. (I guess Swift does this somewhat) If I wanted to get the 3D look for animation, I agree with you 100%. Obviously, I would use Blender or Maya. H...

This software got me thinking... Wouldn't it be cool if you could build your character once (probably in 3d), then be able to maneuver (with a camera) around your character (different angles) then split the character a part (head, body, arms, etc) and take a picture of that character. The software c...

Particle overlap

Here is the senerio. I have a bird's eye view of a few roads. I am using particles for the cars going down the road (straight line). Is there a way to NOT have them overlap using particles? (looks very odd to have a car on top of another) I know I can use the evenly spaced button, however, it would ...

Decided to use AS instead of Photoshop for a work project.

Image

Using AS to draw seems to be getting faster and faster, however I would still like a Free Transform Tool. :)

I'll put my 2 cents in.... Blender. Blender. Blender. The learning curve is huge, however, when you start to "get" it, you will love it. I have used Maya and other 3d software. I actually went to school for it (really doesn't mean much, It was taught by teachers, not professional modelers/animators)...

Thanks n. Hurst I have tried to "compensate" the movement by moving the layer in the opposite direction. It's a work around, however, I wanted to eliminate the need to do this. I have much bigger plans for this effect than the example I posted. Take a look at my example, you'll see what I am trying ...

Not for this application. Here is an example file of what I am trying to do. It is a heat vapor from an engine. Please disregard the graphics (they suck), they are there for reference points. Go to the layer "b/k blurred/rippled". See all of the layer translate keyframes. I want to eliminate this an...

Making a layer stationary or uneffected inside a group layer

Question: Is it possible to make a layer in a group layer, stationary or uneffected by the group's movement? Example: Group layer (Hide all) - layer 1 (masked)--- I want stationary - mask I want to be able to move (keyframe) the group layer and have layer 1 not be moved. Is this possible without ha...
