You could draw a quick mask layer to eliminate things you don't want to see, kind of like a "garbage matte" when FX work was still done on optical printers and animation stands. It can be rough, it just needs to exclude the trash.

Instead of translation for the shoulders, try including a parent bone for each arm that starts at the spine and goes to the shoulders, the way your scapula moves with your sholders. For the hips, since they don't have that individual movement, you could make a similar setup, but have one of the hipb...

Problems in a number of places, from what otheres have said. Seems to be a general problem with the file open dialogs on (at least some) Macs. Same thing happens, apparently, in many (most? All?) of the scripts that use file open windows, also everything greyed out. Haven't seen that problem on Win.

One option to keep in mind relates to the simplicity of the DAT file you get from Papagayo. It's plain text, and just lists the frames where there are keyframes, and that frames phoneme to be shown. So it's not hard to open the Switch data file in a text editor, delete the lines relating to another ...

Allow for colour picking anywhere, any layer. Even a window from another application. First part I have written around here somewhere, go through all the vector layers and find a shape under the mouse and yank it's shape properties. But I was a little fuzzy about how to do things (very bad code rec...

Not sure about that one. I know that .AI files must be in a format no higher than Illustrator 8 (and preferably just that version if possible, don't think somewhat earlier versions do anything bad though). I thought that .EPS itself was reasonably stable, but you might try, if they have the option, ...

Because I was asked about the problem initially because of one of my scripts, I'll expand a little. It's a problem with OSX. Jbot, which version are you running? Since I don't hear tons of people screaming (but you're not the only one, someone else mentioned that all file importing was broken on the...

Yeah, torrents are pretty safe, but it's good to have a decent firewall, as with any distributed file sharing program your IP gets spread far and wide. I use the Azureus client myself. It's a good system to distribute large files without hammering your bandwidth. Beside the typical "sharing&quo...

The only thing I've noticed is some new functions in the scripting engine related to localization. And content, of course.Haven't seen anything different in the core, but haven't played much.

My biggest use of them is for a head bone layer underneath the main body layer. The head is most often the thing I need to buld as a separate group, and I use a lot of bones inn the face - for varying expression, a few in the eyebrow, matbe to control nasolabial folds (although that might often go i...

I think, unless you want to do something free, who does the work and how is the profit divvied up? That's pretty fundamental, and now that the app is getting some proper exposure, something useful to discuss. one of the reasons (and I see a lot of people asking for them) that there aren't more full ...

C'mon Ramón , be realistic(LOL). Maybe bump some of your favorites (you've had more of you're feature request implemented than anyone, I think, but maybe bump up a few of the goo ones? (I hold my opinion on which those are). But you almost always have good suggestions that prompt action.

The chief of GreyKid Pictures posts here, you should ask him yourself. They definitely pull a lot of the potential out of the program, but as he's said.. it's all about the setup. Think about what you want the character to do, and then rig for any possibility. There's a lot you can do, and a real ru...

You need to bind the layers to the bones, using the - yup - Bind Layer tool. Although they won't bend along multiple bones with that. Howerever, they should, if they are in the Bone layer, just move. A few things - if they don't...
