Re: Work animated in Anime Studio Pro

The film looks great, everything looks great. You are lucky to be able to use Anime Studio so much in these jobs, Macabre looks so good, it really doesn't matter what software you used it just looks good, but it's cool to see something like that knowing that MOHO was used.

You're really one of the more interesting Moho users around. Always inspiring to see your latest things.

Unfortunately it's only in the newsletter that gets mailed out, but that screen grab is it in total, when I click on the headline it links over to the MOHO website. Maybe you should contact them and see if they want to include a more in depth showcase in their next newsletter.

MOHO is getting noticed.

School of Motion http://www.schoolofmotion.com/ made a mention of MOHO in it's latest newsletter, touting it as possibly a superior way to do character animation rather than doing it in After Effects. You'd only get this if you'd been registered to be on their mailing list, but it was nice to see MO...

Re: My 1st Moho 12 Basic Bone Rig Test - Jump

It's a bit gluey for me, like the character is stuck to the ground and then the feet come unstuck an recoil away. Probably fixable by shifting key-frames around for timing. I also think there is a lot of anticipation in the character as the tumble weed approaches, where as it might be better if he i...

Re: Moho right for me?

Yeah I've tried Blender, but don't go there, it's a full 3D app with a steep learning curve, your initial post indicated you weren't looking for anything on that level.

Re: Moho right for me?

Yeah, that list, I forgot about DAZ, I never used it but that might be the go, pretty sure it was designed with the complete novice in mind.

Re: Moho right for me?

I just had a look at MUVIZU and it might be the solution you're looking for, I hate to promote rival software but it seems to be a drag and drop type of approach to animation, it's 3D which might be more than you expected to deal with but I think it's more about importing characters into a environme...

Re: Moho right for me?

No you don't have to create each frame, you use a skeleton rig of bones to make the photos walk about, so you move things to key positions and the computer calculates all the in between frames from one position to another, it's like a digital puppet I guess. Watch one or two tutorials on setting up ...

Re: Moho right for me?

Not really, not as you described, there's no auto commands like walk right, look surprised and so on, you need to rig and animate everything, which you could learn to do if you have plenty of time, and you can bring in photos and rig and animate them to make that scene. But I think you're looking fo...

More rigging examples and final animation

I made this little video document to illustrate some mostly simple rigging, although there is some fake 3D turning stuff in there as well. Included at the end is the animated sequence the characters were designed for.

Re: How to combine several shapes to one shape?

Also, with the circle shapes selected you could go up to the top menu to Scripts/Draw/Split Curve and put a number like six or 8 in the requester field. That will put a bunch of evenly spaced points onto the circles so that they will keep their shape better once welded with other shapes. I actually ...
