Re: Head rotation and movement

How did you bind the head layer? If you used Layer binding, and that layer is a group, you effectively disabled any other binding for layers inside that group. If you're going to use layer binding, it's better to use it directly with the head layer, (assuming the trunk is not part of that layer of c...

Re: Layers panel question

Some more tips for optimizing Layer Comps and the Moho UI in general can be found in the video here:

http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtop ... er#p187803

This video was created using Moho Pro 12 but most of these tips apply to Moho 13.

Hope this helps.

Re: Creating transparency background in Moho 12

Mainly posting to support the above info. Here's some additional info that might help: When we need to output with transparency from Moho, we always use PNG Image Sequence. There are technical and practical reasons it's better to output an image sequence over a movie file from pretty much any animat...

Re: Head rotation and movement

I believe I just did that, the point binding sollution. I created the a mesh around around the trunk and added in the trunk bones. So I binded the bones with points of the mesh. So far this one gave me the best and controlled motion, not perfect though. Still need to tweak it. Thank you for help! T...

Re: Object not moving correctly...

Since he's using AS11.2, I don't think animated parenting is an option. But he could bind the the gun layer to the hand bone, a duplicate to its own bone, and swap visibility. @synthsin75: Oh, yeah. I thought we had that feature longer but I'm sure you're correct. @uncle808us: Yes, before we got ke...

Re: Object not moving correctly...

For this sort of thing, I usually attach the item that's being held to its own bone. This way I can easily attach and detach the item's bone to/from the hand bone with a keyframe. With keyframeable parenting, the attachment is rock-solid.

Re: Quick settings, and multi layers.

Under the Animation menu there's a global command for this. This toggle-command collapses everything in the Timeline. Also...in the Timeline, right-click on an icon in the far left and you'll see a layer command for it. Despite having similar names, these two commands are not used the same way so do...

Re: Head rotation and movement

Sorry, I only skimmed the above, but when you mentioned that the trunk wiggles when the bones move, my first thought was that you need to use Use Selected Bones For Flexi-binding for the trunk. Here's what I think the problem is: By default, Flexi-binding makes all the bones affect all the layers th...

Re: Not everything respects bones

Perhaps other binding methods are in effect? Sometimes this happens to me if I've been experimenting with various methods and lose track of what I've done. Rather than spending a lot of time trying to fix these kind of problem, I prefer to select the 'broken' layers and choose the menu command Reset...

Re: Animaker Videos List

Hm..I don' t think it should. Does the normal Moho Preview Animation command work? A few additional steps occur when you click the button (fit in window and a slight time delay before recording) but the main part simply triggers the same command. Let me know if the regular Preview Animation command ...

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?

Regarding the shot list, sorry, I haven't forgotten, just been super busy lately. I'll put together a quick tutorial and post it soon.

Coincidentally, I've been doing a lot of this at work lately and have some new ideas which might be helpful.

Re: Add point to circle

Of course, if the circle shape is always going to be a circle, and the orientation of the path itself doesn't matter, and you decide to use Stroke Exposure, AND you need the visible part of the Stroke to run over the start/end point, you could alway just rotate the circle. So many choices. This is o...

Re: Add point to circle

I've mentioned this before but it would be cool if we could redefine the start point in a shape for Stroke Exposure. If we can't have negative values for Stroke Exposure, this might be a workaround for the problem I described above. You can sort of do this by adding and deleting a point in the shape...
