Re: Pano Painter, an Interesting program.

Mapping a 360-degree painting, rendering, or photograph inside a sphere with flipped polygons is a commonly used 'cheat' for 3D animation and compositing programs to create backgrounds, reflections, and scene lighting. Done right, using a spherical map can be significantly faster than rendering a lo...

Re: 360º Smartbones using cycles

What I like to do is use two Smart Bone Actions, one Action for a complete single-direction turn (a 'loop' bone) and a second Action to overdrive the first Action in both directions (a 'turn' bone). This big advantage with this workflow is I only need to create animation for one complete loop in one...

Re: Eport jpg

Additional info: Ctrl-R doesn't always render the same as a final quality. The difference may be noticeable in the anti-aliasing quality and also in the background color. If this is important to you, you should render the image using one of the final quality export commands like Moho Exporter or Exp...

Re: 5th Witch Spell

I'm guessing the art was created in a paint program like Photoshop or Krita using real world images for textures? With Moho 12 and earlier, this was the most common way to get painted/crafted looks into Moho. (Some of our early DreamWorks TV work, like Puss, King Julien, and The Croods was done this...

Re: white line

Another thing to check: Does this still show in a proper render using Moho Exporter or Export Animation? The Preview command (ctrl-R) doesn't render images exactly the same as the final quality renderer, and it may sometimes render the image with artifacts. Preview is good for a quick check of your ...

Re: white line

My first thought is you may have vector artwork with the same paths duplicated to different layers but with different regions filled with a shape. The curve(s) that border the shapes may then render with a thin white line (it's actually a gap.) In this situation, a slight mismatch in the anti-aliasi...

Re: Undocked Timeline disappeared

When an undocked window goes off-screen for me, I select it from the Window>Docking menu and then select it again. This docks the window and un-docks it, and usually the window position will reset to appear within the visible screen area.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Used wrong terminology. Now correct.

Re: white line

I can think of different solutions for an unwanted 'white line' but you need to post a project file or at least an image so I know which one applies in your case.

Re: Head rotation and movement

How did you bind the head layer? If you used Layer binding, and that layer is a group, you effectively disabled any other binding for layers inside that group. If you're going to use layer binding, it's better to use it directly with the head layer, (assuming the trunk is not part of that layer of c...

Re: Layers panel question

Some more tips for optimizing Layer Comps and the Moho UI in general can be found in the video here:

This video was created using Moho Pro 12 but most of these tips apply to Moho 13.

Hope this helps.

Re: Creating transparency background in Moho 12

Mainly posting to support the above info. Here's some additional info that might help: When we need to output with transparency from Moho, we always use PNG Image Sequence. There are technical and practical reasons it's better to output an image sequence over a movie file from pretty much any animat...

Re: Head rotation and movement

I believe I just did that, the point binding sollution. I created the a mesh around around the trunk and added in the trunk bones. So I binded the bones with points of the mesh. So far this one gave me the best and controlled motion, not perfect though. Still need to tweak it. Thank you for help! T...
