Re: A couple of new characters for 2015...

Kadoogan, saying you 'hope I'm being fairly compensated for my efforts' is a major compliment. Thank you! :D I enjoy animating a lot. I need experience in writing a script. If I'm working on an 'explainer' video or a tutorial I need a good blueprint to work from. One of the headaches of a bad script...

Re: How do you convert an image to inches?

Greetings, welcome to the forum! I actually used GIMP to scale my images then print them out.

How do you convert an image to inches?

I want to export an image as a jpeg to use as a template to cut and bend plastic.
I want it to be about 5 inches tall. Do I have to do it in PhotoShop?

I understand. It's a big book. I've had to refer to it a couple of times already this year. I saw where he's written other books too.

Re: Animatorsforum

Since the AF doesn't earn any ad revenue or anything, Mike (out of the kindness of his heart) pays for the hosting himself. Being retired , I'd bet he uses a cheaper hosting service. They are responding to the bug tickets he has submitted, just may take some time. I was kind of hoping he'd write a ...

Kadoogan, as much as I struggled to complete my last project, my next one will be even tougher. Thank you for sharing those insights.
I immediately checked out 'Rawscripts.com'. It'll be a major improvement over Microsoft Word.

Re: Wine and Moonlight

alee, you have good stuff. I actually listened to the "Checkers" speech because of your animation. Regarding this animation I had to watch it twice before I 'got' it. You made me think which is always a good thing.

Re: A couple of new characters for 2015...

Kadoogan, Nice work. What is the process for writing a script? Maybe a better question is what is the client's input? I recently completed a tutorial animation where writing the script was tougher than the artwork. The most frustrating thing for me was working from a script then deciding to discard ...

It looks (to me) like the character is working very hard to take steps as if he is trying to wade through water.

Kadoogan, the Recycle symbol is prominent with both the ringmaster and the elephants. Is your animation about recycling?

Re: Work in progress

3deeguy that was great, I mean, I really don't have the math capability to keep up, but it was great anyway, I watched the whole 7 plus minutes. You should really approach some online trade school sites to see if they would use something like this. You have my vote on it. It's clear and to the poin...

You're right. I didn't discover animation until 2011. The animation I just finished was 10,296 frames. I rendered it H.264 Quicktime. I set compression to "good" and went to bed.
