Awesome, thanks jorgy. It's tips like that that I really need. Pure gold - thanks, I missed that in the walk ;) That's why this forum is so valuable. After looking at something for hours on end, it's easy to let something slip through. And to catch it here before you've done a lot of animating, wel...

Mikdog, nice work! I like the look - the layout and the characters. I especially like the exaggerated lip sync. The only suggestion I have as far as the animation is that when the purple guy is walking, his whole body stays at the same level. I think he needs a tiny bit of bounce as he moves along. ...

This may have already been mentioned and if so, I apologize. Under "Scripts" -> "3D" is a script called "auto-scale". After importing a 3d obj file, run this script on it and it will be scaled to a much more manageable size.

Now that is killer!

Just one question - if you're going to be using bones to control the mouth, how would you do lipsync? Would you have to do it by hand since papagayo and other programs use switch layers for the different phonemes?

I have been doing a lot of set design in 3d and the solution to the problem you mention (character walking behind hill) is to split it up into multiple parts. This has worked really well for me, though I haven't used giles and been using 7ft's lighting script.

Also, try starting at the END of the animation, rather than the beginning.

I agree with AllenC. The animation of the texture works really, really well. Be sure to share again when you finish up your next works!

One question slightly off topic:
Can one install Animestudio and keep the old Moho untouched?

I can't speak for the Mac version, but at least for the windows version that seems to be the case.

This is a really choice piece of dialogue. There's something about real people talking, isn't there? Oh, to be able to write naturally like that. So did she go in with you? Were you quiet? Did your parents give you a bollocking? Oh yeah, the animating. I thought the simple style worked, especially t...

I don't know too much about this particular application, but I do know about firewire vs. USB. If given the choice, I would go with firewire instead of USB. With firewire, more of the smarts is in the controller, instead of USB where more is offloaded into the computer's CPU. This means that since y...
