Re: Automate mesh triangulation?

Funny how this guy keeps popping up ... here's my turn: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=27102&p=153205&hili ... in#p153205, and it's already 10 yrs old! As you see, I didn't rely on just one method of animation.

Re: Problem cutting parts for rigging

Unfortunately in Moho cutting rarely works as intended, and I never had a satisfying experience with adding lines and welding points, so I totally avoid that. Also, a simple cut never is enough, as body parts on different layers need a certain amount of overlap, otherwise the character breaks during...

Re: Problem cutting parts for rigging

Over here we do that differently: we already build the arm from several shapes which only appear as one.

Re: Maintaining facial expression a through head turn

In a different context I just was reminded of what I was taught: "Every head turn involves a change of expression". So maybe you just need a neutral look which is maintained in each position.

Re: Moho Toon Looking 3 D vs Blender

There are books out there about contemporary animation production workflows. See your local library, or (gasp!) buy one at your local book shop.

Re: Should I Flexi-Bind?

1. Flexi-Bind is the default, so it doesn't show. I agree this gets confusing when you release and re-bind a lot. 2. Menu ->Bone -> Release Flexi-Bind. 3. Same menu, Flexi-bind Points. I recommend to experiment with a dummy arm and shoulder, then stick to your favourite workflow. This will save you ...

Re: Rotating points

If you need to rotate something which shall retain its shape, you use layer rotation only.

The "rotate points" tool is meant for constructing stuff, not actual animation.

Re: Shearing

Had that problem, solved it by first animating without camera movement, then re-imported the sheared layers again and continued.

Re: Sound frustration...

a script could be written to disable it on every audio layer in the file In that case it should be one script for all layer properties you might want to set as default / different by default: like "allow animated layer effects" and so on. Would it be possible to have a script that pops up when you ...

Re: Guideline ruler tool for viewport?

Well, there's the grid - toggle on/off with cmd-G, settings cmd-shift-G. But the grid is layer-specific, it rotates and scales and translates with the layer. You eventually learn to live with it, because there's no global grid.

Those in need of such take a screenshot of the grid and import the image.

Re: Cycle Problems

When constructing a cycle you usually copy the first keyframe to the end. Now the last keyframe and the first are identical - so take care to not include the first keyframe when you set the last key to cycle.

Re: What's making Moho so slow?

For more than just one incidential text I would not recommend Moho's text engine, instead use Indesign or even Photoshop or the like to get a really professional result.

Re: HELP WITH FONTS!!!!

Moho never showed me all fonts I had installed on my system (and TVP does the same). One reason is that it doesn't open anything which is inside its own folder within the Fonts folder, although OSX uses them anyway, so Moho cleary justs scans the first level of the Fonts folder instead of using the ...

Re: Text Counter

If you need to show exact numbers, responding to some other element in the scene, a switch layer is one good way of doing this. It contains a layer for each number 0 - 9, plus one empty layer if you don't want leading zeros. Build that switch once, then duplicate it for as many digits you need. You ...
