There's a new version out? I didn't even know!
I'll test it later, fortunately I have both Mac OS 10.4.7 and 10.4.6 available.

Workaround: import them into PS and export from there? I can't help you with the flash export.

Annecy Winner

http://www.annecy.org/home/index.php?Pa ... d=20065010 is a very interesting Flash animation - which looks like it could've been done in Moho.

I had a look at the logo (nice one), here's my ideas: Think of a real bird. Each of its legs consists of at least 4 parts: foot (toe & tarsus), lower leg (tibia), upper leg - which is hidden in the body. Now the bones in Moho are invisible ... so you can make a setup with more bones than visible ele...

Nexus

http://www.nexusproductions.com/main.html is one of my favourite sites. Although they do advertising and videoclips only, I think they collect some of the best talents in industry. Their style is "contemporary" in the best meaning of the word. Unfortunately they changed their format from quicktime ...

You can save images with an alpha channel as PNG and import them into Moho. Works like a charm. You can't import just the alpha channel - for something like this you need a pixel-based compositing program like After Effects.

Try this: after creating whatever artwork you need, select all in that layer, cou it (x) and paste it again. If the red dot appears in the layer list, it is optimized.

"Rabbit"

"Rabbit" is an eery film, quite gory, and has won several awards. The whole animation could have been done in moho and is a good example of what is possible in cutout style.

"Red Tango" flash cartoon

A real good source for high quality animation is always http://www.cartoonbrew.com/. Today they featured http://www.tangoland.com/ which shows an excellent animation done in Flash - have a look, study the scenes and the breakdown of the characters, and learn!

Hm ... what's all the fuzz about? OK, so you can script Moho. You can even script essential functions and tweak them to your taste. That's great, and I'm sure there are a dozen people or so who really could use this kind of wizardry. There's also the small possibility that some script might be even ...

Just to clear that issue once and for all:

If you work on a computer and for screen/video/film, forget resolution and dpi. Just count pixels. The dimension of an image in pixels is all that counts.

I like it. It's just complex enough animation to fool the eye, but you kept it simple enough to not stretch your timeline. Cleverly done.

OK, I did some tests for myself. Result #1: Moho doesn't care about "resolution". http://www.slowtiger.de/examples/300_72.png The image I used was 400 x 400 px big, stored in 72 dpi and again in 300 dpi. Moho interpreted both correctly as 400 x 400 px, showing them at 72 dpi (the Moho film was set t...

I'm deeply impressed. This film already has a lot what tells a good film from a mediocre one: storytelling, storyboarding, clever editing, and animation only where it's needed ... Is it your first film? Of course you know best where you need to improve your skills. More drawing training, better use ...
