Re: Adjustable timeline bars

I've made a table for this purpose years ago, here it is: http://slowtiger.de/examples/fps_bpm.pdf But don't stick to this too much. It's possible to animate to the beat of any tempo since you can add or skip a frame every n th beat. And you'll notice that certain visual actions have to be shifted o...

Re: Creating a named color swatch/style.

Styles are document-dependent. To transfer a style into another document, you need to create an element which uses the style, and import it into the other document.

Re: MOHO 13 - EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR

What does "permanent license" mean in that case? Am I able to install Moho onto a new drive and enter the serial number? Because that's the most likely situation.

Re: No upgrade path

I skipped 12 because from reading here it seemed to be not as reliable as 11. I don't jump to 13 right now, first I need to know wether those issues were fixed.

Re: How to simulate classic hand drawn animation style

Oh please. Broken Down Film is from 1985 , as I wrote. I'm not even sure if Mike Clifton took up programming at that point in time. It's worth to look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osamu_Tezuka who besides his vast amount of studio work (manga and anime) created a number of personal shorts. I saw...

I know that feeling. It's like reading the complete chess rules aloud only to find that the duck is not interested.

head turn expression

Please have a look at this owl.

Please note how much emotion it expresses just with position and turn of the head. Try this in your own animation, please.

Yes.

(This is one of the many questions where I ask myself "why don't you just try and see what happens? You can't break the program!")

Ha! I just wait for the first one lashing out 6.000 $ or more for the newest Mac Pro (the Cheese Grater) and then complain that a 400 $ software will not run on it...

Re: How to simulate classic hand drawn animation style

"classic hand drawn animation style" is not a thing which could be done with the press of a button. As the suggested solutions show, the "style" consists of several elements on different levels. - Design: your character must look hand-drawn. (Family Guy doesn't.) - Drawing style: cel look, or someth...

Re: 3D Plane Butterfly Wings

Well of course they change angle and look weird, because camera makes them do so ... optically it's totally correct. I think I've done exactly that, quite some time ago. To get rid of the weird looks I'd animate a butterfly loop in place, reder that, and re-import the video/image sequence, which now...

Re: Animating Clothes (not sheets)

That's what I think as well. In fact this is one of the complex motions most animators will avoid, and directors choose a different solution, like doing it off-screen: character puts hands to T-shirt, cut to other person, cut back to character with T-shirt in hands.
