Re: Parent / unparent in place?

Sometimes it's possible to just render a certain composition and re-import that image. (Change project size temporarily for that, if necessary.)

Re: Parent / unparent in place?

No.

The only thing which helps is a lot of discipline while building characters: don't scale layers, don't give them a Z value other than 0, don't build stuff far from the origin point.

Re: Moho 12 Pro - iMac Pro 3.2ghz SLOW

Regarding orphaned points: This is a source of trouble since ages ago in lots of software. Single points, or just 2 points on top of each other, or some points in very small distance to each other, all cause trouble. I remember the old Quark XPress choking on those, RIPs the same, and of course (nat...

Re: Control bone delay

No, haven't used any script at all ... It's interesting that I see many examples of "stuff spread over space" in many programs, mostly per particle animation or, in more complex systems, as "crowd control". It would be nice to have a "spread over time" feature as well, which should also include a sp...

Control bone delay

This night I dreamt about work, and a funny little idea struck me. We all use the simple control bone feature to move one object and let lots of others follow. Works nicely, except that everything moves uniformingly. So what about adding another input field/dial into each line which determines the d...

Re: Amazonprime show "Undone"

Just to be exact: TVPaint was used only for the rotoscoped parts. The crew had nothing to do with Linklaters films or the old A-ha video.

Make sure you really moved the layer and not the camera.

Re: Animate particle settings?

No.

Depending on what result you want to achieve, it might be possible to animate 2 different particle layers with different settings, then fade one into another.

Also it's possible to animate the particle layer's properties like anything else, so you can change direction and size.

Re: Best 2D Animation Software List - for Beginners & Professionals

I just can't take any list seriously which includes TVP as well as Crazytalk Animator. Two lists, one for beginners, would be a better (and more convincing) way.

Re: Moho DPI

DPI doesn't apply here. Images will be rendered at the pixel dimensions you've set in the project settings. Only when you print them you can say how many pixels will be spread on an inch.

Re: Text in frame by frame?

If you want a typographically pleasant sentence as a result this is not the way to do it. Usually we work with the complete text and an animated mask.

Re: 13: Brushes on Outlines

There's an example given in the manual about naming, that and with some try and error I found this: name can be upper or lower case, one or several words, BUT words must be separated by spaces , not underscores numbers can be written to the names directly or with space, but no underscore This is bec...

Re: 13: Brushes on Outlines

Since v10, to be exact - which I skipped, and it wasn't mentioned when I bought 11. Anyway, thank you for mentioning it - wasn't much covered in the forum. It seems Moho is a bit picky about naming that multiple brush folder, couldn't make it work immediately, and that's not mentioned in the manual....

13: Brushes on Outlines

Can somebody please have a look and tell me if the brush handling of Moho has been improved? The old (pre-13) version can only assign 1 bitmap per stroke and doesn't provide much variation. I'm looking for either: a) several bitmaps per stroke b) more variation in size and placement and, in general:...
