Re: Not responding when I draw with "Freehand"

Uhm, that background is great, but IMHO Moho is absolutely the wrong program for that kind of work. This calls for a decent pixel-based software like TVPaint, Photoshop, or the like.

Ah, the price. They also considered to buy Toonboom. When they heard the 400.- € price tag for Moho they claimed "that's a bargain!"

Put the character into another group folder and position that.

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Last week I presented Moho to an animation studio who thinks of adding it to their outfit of TVPaint, AfterEffect, and Adobe Animate. Nobody asked about when the next version will come out. They were interested in what the current version can do. And they were pretty impressed.

Re: Original Animation Cels

I like Pink Panther. I even got the Pink Panther book by Jerry Beck, while it's much too "american" (= nothing critical whatsoever, overloaded with merchandise, and most of the text is completely unnecessary), it features lots of images, especially the layouts of Dick Ung, from whom I stole many tri...

Re: Original Animation Cels

As someone who painted cels by hand in the 90s and had several thousand in my fingers I'm more impressed by that information that the three characters were in the same film once. Aardvaark had a very distinct german voice (female) and still has fans.

Affinity sale

There's a sale now for Affinity, https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/desktop/. Does anybody here work with Photo and Designer and can compare it to Adobe's line?

Yes. All objects exist for the duration of the scene/project file, like in any 3D program.

The idea is stupidly simple, the result charming and silly. Could've been done in Moho, of course.

Re: back to basics in point vector construction

slowtiger's example is most probably done with points all on one layer - but there are three separate paths with one "filled with stroke" shape per path Exactly. I wonder if my preferred style of construction comes from my familiarity with constructing figures from cardboard shapes, as did in kinde...

Extreme zooms and pans

Since I'm doing this stuff right now, here's a nifty little trick: You know how hard it is to zoom in extremely close to some object while doing a pan at the same time. The camera tool produces strange curves, so I don't use it for that. Instead I put all layers into a top group layer, set the origi...
