Yes, I tried both versions once I found that setting - no difference.
Image sequence doen't do it for me because - you will not believe it - FinalCut doesn't yield my import settings, it stubbornly makes every image 1 sec long.

No alpha bug?
I encountered a strange behaviour with video files with alpha here. The file contains only some PNGs with alpha, nothing fancy (Edit: tested with vector art, same result.). Moho on Mac 10.15. - File open in old Moho versions 9 and 11, rendering on Mac OS 10.6 and 10.11 with either Quicktime PNG+alph...

Re: Issue with (psd-)importer with switch layer: breaks animation
This is interesting, I did some test myself and found a different behaviour. Prepared a PSD file with 3 groups containing several layers: 1. all 100% 2. all individuals set to 50%, group to 100% 3. all individuals set to 100%, group to 50% First odd thing: "Import image sequence" just give...

Re: Help! Images become invisible when playing timeline using switch layers
I can't see something obviously being wrong, so there's no way but bug-checking: - is the switch layer set to visible, as well as all layers inside? - is there some animated opacity in any of the layers? - has any of the layers been shifted in time via sequencer? - does this happen if you take the s...

For new Moho versions it's now under Import > Image Sequence.

Re: Noise Textures
From the video I think that shadow effect is quite simple to recreate in Moho. Try this: - create a 1bit stochastic noise image and save with alpha. (The noise doesn't even move in the video, this gave me theidea.) - create something with a soft outline in Moho - use that bitmap as mask for the soft...

Re: This gives an image a flickery 'line boil' effect
Now that's a nifty trick! And I think you can build on that, because, as you stated yourself, it's a bit too subtle for Youtube. (That's the one thing I hate all video formats for: they can't really deal with all the grain and texture and drawing magic you can create with analogue film. And remember...

Re: That 70's hand drawn animated film look
That's a nice one! In the real 70's they'd done this with flat colours only, but that gives it a cheap TV look, methinks. I'd prefer (totally personal again) seeing brush strokes and textures in the fills. Luckily I have the exact right software for that (TVPaint), I could even throw in some scanned...

Re: That 70's hand drawn animated film look
There's so many possibilities for a good background style, but apart from my personal taste I found that one pont is crucial: consistency. Whatever you choose, you need to stick to it. Examples for photo collage BGs can be found in Yellow Submarine and Korty's Twice upon a time , and in numerous sho...

Re: Noob-friendly walk cycle
I'd recommend the Richard Williams walk cycle: https://idearocketanimation.com/app/uploads/2010/07/bcc574b7d45926758b92e89bd4c0160d.jpg If you google "Richard Williams walk cycle" you'll end up with lots of variations all lifted from his book. To translate this into Moho: first you key the...

Re: That 70's hand drawn animated film look
The guy's animation is already quite good. I know how hard it is to maintain volume and rigidity in a naturalistic style! I'm not really comfortable with the 3 different background styles. The room around the guy is nice, it is a bit too empty, but that's a good statement with the flat colours. Mayb...

Re: I Animated a drawing I made 40 Years (!!) ago when I was six!
I have a soft spot for all animation using children's drawings, maybe since I saw "Alexander und das Auto ohne linken Scheinwerfer" in the 60's.
Maybe add some moving texture in the street to enhance the driving illusion?

Re: Frames Per Second
Unless the animation is meant to end in a high FPS game there's no need for 50 FPS.
Yes, best option is the re-scaling command in the menu.

Re: Why do drawn bones have an offset? How to have exact locations?
Two possible sources of error:
- check that layer's Z depth. It should be 0.
- sometimes you get erratic behaviour because the layer's origin is way off. Reset the layer position, or the origin point.

Re: Bone nested inside bone layer
I do this all the time to separate timing. A character walking - one bone layer - but then talk and gesticulate and moving its head - another bone layer, or even more. Saves me from accidentially grabbing the wrong keys.
