Ahhh should have guessed, but thanks for the shaders link, didn't know about that one. But you should check out Bryce 5.5 from Daz as well, its a 3d background generator and its also free.

Sounds cool, what was the program you used for the shader? It sounds like something I could use as well.

While I don't really mind generic stories and such, I do mind it when the characters are card board cut outs. Like I find that the best movies animated or otherwise are the ones with very well developed characters. Like you can still keep the characters as they are, but just give reasoning as to why...

Ok I did some some tests on facial expressions for the Amazon, so tell me what you think and what could be better. http://photos-641.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v231/112/29/1152517641/n1152517641_1904554_4152.jpg http://photos-641.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v231/112/29/1152517641/n1152517641_...

Oh wow. You have a crazy amount of shape fills stacked in each vector object. I was going to fix this, but there are just too many. First, I would strongly suggest that everyone install the select shape tool from Seven Feet. It shows you where and how many shapes you have stacked. You can find them...

We'd probably need to see the .anme file to help you with those 'glitches'. Otherwise, we're just taking stabs in the dark. Some of these have too many possible causes for a simple answer. It could be your styles, extra shapes, shape order, outlines, etc... But I like the artwork, and loved the Ani...

The Adventures of The Lone Viking & His Amazon Woman

Well I've been playing around with Anime Studio now for quite a while, and I thought that it was about time that I did a short animation made entirely with it. So I came up with a short story about a Viking saving an Amazon from a bad guy, So here is my first character model for the short. The desig...

Wow thanks a lot for that, it'll help me greatly with my work. Especially the Animaniacs art work, I'm studying up on exaggerated expressions and that will be an invaluable tool, so thanks a ton for that.

I liked it, I would suggest working on your sound mixing and editing though. Like towards the end with the music it was kind of hard to hear the voices, and some of the sound effects just didn't work that well. If you don't have too many sound effects then you should go to SoundSnap.com they have li...

Well I found another way to blend the characters with the background more, what I did was that in the early part of the movie (where most of it takes place) the characters are on this rather desolate planet. So what I did to enhance that feeling image wise was to town down the colors to almost black...

The main reason I chose to have 3D backgrounds was because I suck at drawing or painting them, and I can do more with the camera with 3D than with 2D. Ah, makes sense. However, IMHO, the downside of having awesome 3D backgrounds mixed with 2D characters versus sucky 2D backgrounds mixed with 2D cha...

Cool. I like the hair-blowing one. What are your thoughts on mixing 3D environments with 2D characters? Obviously, you don't have a problem with it. I guess I'm wondering why you decided to do things that way. Good luck with the big project! The main reason I chose to have 3D backgrounds was becaus...
