File type ANME is an Anime Studio file. You can ONLY open it in Anime Studio. What do you want to open the file with? If you are expecting to open a movie file then you must export the animation as a movie.

You didn't say what kind of file it is. If it's an image file then just create a new image layer and give it the name of the file.

Brushes only exist in the PRO version. The basic version doesn't have them. I asked the same question a month ago when I first got started. Seems the tutorials don't really make that clear.

Moveable eyes without masking that can be put in a switch layer (but don't have to be because they are movable)

Yes, the new file upload works fine.

Nice little tutorial. I'm going to try to animate a figure walking in a big circle.

They neglect to mention that File > Render is in the PRO version only, not the basic version. To see the rendered result in non-PRO version you have to use File > Export Animation. You CAN just export just one frame of the animation if that's all you want to see. (BTW: Everybody who starts out on An...

Are you SELECTING the object before you change the color? Otherwise, you will just be changing he default color, not the color of the object you've selected. Does the object you select show the checkerboard pattern to show that it is selected?

What operating system, MAC or Windows? Has it worked before and then stopped working, or has it never worked? Did you go to the "Window" menu item and check "tool". Did you move the executable file to a different folder? Do you have a Anime Studio/scripts/tool folder in the same folder where AS is i...

OK, OK let's get back to my original excitement about using 3D obj files for a reference to do a walk cycle. ... But, rather than throw out the baby with the bath water, I'll try a legal approach. Since those that have the standard version can't rotatee 3D obj files I created an animation of a 3D o...

Hey, even the great artists used models ... Well, there's using a model, and then there's Maxfield Parrish. If I was going to animate in Poser, I might as well just animate in Poser. But what I really have in mind is just using the "bones" model as a guide to placement and foreshortening. (i...

I output an AVI file from Poser. My Poser 4 doesn't have MOV as an option. I use AS basic, not AS Pro, so I can't import OBJ files anyway. Here's the zipped pz3 file for the bone man. He's just the standard Poser 3 man with body parts replaced by "dumb bell" object I made in another 3D modeling ap. ...
