Is there a quick way I can block outgoing net connections from apps (without going through the rigmarole of installing Little Snitch)? The OS X firewall only blocks incoming.

That would make sense. Perhaps they're doing something with the registration server.

When I put Anime on the MacBook, where there had never been an installation before, it was fine and got to the point where it asked for my registration details. After I put them in - it crashed.

OK. Just realised that if I double click the background layer within Photoshop (to turn it into a normal layer) resave the PSD file and then try to reimport, it imports fine.
