Re: TVPaint

I own both, too, toonybrain! I mainly use ASP for titling effects that can't be easily achieved with raster software (although I bring into TVP for final coloring and compositing)

I think there was an issue with the font itself (a truetype), I tried re-creating my graphic completely inside ASP (rather than using SVG one) and ran into the exact same issue. I ultimately ended up using a different font altogether that behaved better :-)

SVG Import in ASP 8.1

Using ASP 8.1 and importing SVG made in Inkscape. The SVG was created from text. When importing into ASP, the "holes" in letters like P e and o are separate shapes stacked on top of one underneath, so the hole is a solid filled shape with a stroke outline rather than empty space in the obj...

I got everything installed correctly and can start ASP, but it locks up when it shows the startup dialog and the content library window, and I think that content library window is going into some infinite loop that is locking out the app (going by the console output). Is there a way to prevent that ...

Anime Studio for Linux

I've been using ASP on Linux since the the good ol' Moho days, up through ASP 6, but haven't really been keeping up with the latest releases. Has Smith Micro completely abandoned the Linux platform now? Sucks if they have.

Re: Is Anime Studio the same as Moho?

I'm a registerd Moho user. Have v5.2.1. I haven't used Moho in quite a while but use it for special projects. It has always been one of my favorite programs. 1 - Is Anime Studio the same program? 2 - Do they have the same tutorials? 3 - Do they reference the supporting software vendors like the lip...

What an article! I knew about the movie but had no idea he used Vector to pull it off. I especially knew nothing about use of Moho. I figured being an EX Disney guy, he just did in traditionally. I wonder if he started such a project today how much faster he could go with today's computers and the ...

Between Anime Studio Pro and Mirage, you've got the best of both worlds, IMHO! -- Brett Yeah, depending on the project I could defintiely see doing a lot of stuff in Anime Studio and rendering it out to be composited in and combined with animation and FX in Mirage. Right now though I am also intere...
