Re: Year of the horse

Hi 3dguy. Now that is a good question. Basically I mean bitmaps are a much freer and faster way of working. Far too many years of vectors and clients that want tiny details have left me with RSI in my wrist. Clients also want your master files so they can build new illustrations without having to pa...

Thanks Barry.
There are three but after they play in order they play randomly. The eye blink is random too. :D

Re: 9.5 is out...

9.5 is definitely a lot better than 9.0, during BETA I've made many complex rigs that are very easy to animate. In a way that was impossible in 9.0. If you use ASP a lot, you won't regret an upgrade. To me, Nested layer control is a huge change. If smart bones changed the way we rigged, Nested laye...

Re: 9.5 is out...

I've been testing 9.5 and I have to say that I don't think I have ever been so happy with an upgrade :D . Check out the videos http://anime.smithmicro.com/animestudio9.5/index.html?utm_source=SmithMicro&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=HeaderImage&utm_campaign=AnimeStudio95_9TO95_20130813&h...

Re: AS 9.2 update

[quote="ulrik" - Smart bones: when editing a smart bone action, the smart bone in question is displayed with a highlighted color. [/quote] I don't know about anyone else but I get a really thick red outline around the bone that gets in the way of the points when manipulating points. (same ...

Re: A penguin carol

Thanks Guys. That's really nice. I confess I watched it about 5 times. The use of that particular song meant you could re use a great deal of the animation too I notice. Clever :D Not that clever. There are no cycles the animation was simple enough to do without them. Squeakydave, that looks great a...

Re: AVi import into ASpro 64bit.

I have finally had a little time to instal the k-lite 64bit codec pack and.......Audio still doesn't work.

I think I'll just stick to the 32bit version of Anime studio. Much less stressful.
I would love to hear from anyone who manages to get 64bit video import with sound working though.

Hi Jim.
I heartily agree. I have often looked enviously at the level of control our 3d cousins have in their software.

Re: Adobe Dumps Flash

Interesting. I am hearing a lot of people are still using Flash but are just wrapping their apps in Phonegap or the like. Anyone authoring animation in HTML5? What software tools are you using? D.K HTML5 is more of a delivery medium rather than an animation tool. You can use just about anything to ...

Re: Adobe Dumps Flash

I'm not sure that Flash as an authoring environment is dead. I believe it can export to apps and the like. As a web technology its days do seem to be numbered. Sadly Adobes html5 'replacement' - Edge only seems to be available as part of their yearly subscription offering.

I use: TV paint has boarding tools built in. Nice though maybe a little pricey. or Sketchbook pro has some nice drawing tools. I sketch out the frames in this and then put them together in Xara graphic designer Pro - If the client needs to see some nice boards. I then put the original board frames t...
