Thank you for the solution Victor. I was hoping to keep the animation, but I guess that's not possible.
It almost looks like the bone IDs (if there is such a thing) got mixed up and that various bones are attempting to take other bone positions, but I really don't know.

Character Rig Reference "Explodes" when Updated
Hello, I've been working on an animation and utilizing the referencing of various elements, including my main character. I blocked in the animation using a basic rig and have been updating the rig in the character's reference file. I've been updating in my main scene as I go and haven't had any prob...

Re: What effect is this?
Blender has a compositor node that simulates light rays as seen in the initial example animation.

Animating multiple Layer FX at the same time?
Hello, I'm animating a spotlight with a light that flickers and then fades up. I'm animating the opacity of a folder containing multiple layers; many of which have blur applied to the layer or soft edge applied to the shape. When the opacity for the containing folder is animated no blur effects are ...

I ended up using the Crashcore menu scripts. They worked wonderfully. I now have a different problem. I need to export to Flash with a low filesize. The file is exporting at 2.1MB which is far too big. Is there a way to optimize the file in any way to make it smaller? I turned off 3D camera and I de...

Thank you for all the suggestions. @DK: The file link is broken but I get the idea. I was pondering along this line of thought last night but was too tired to bring it to conclusion. @Jahnocli: I think I saw the thread you're talking about but it didn't look like I could have the ants animated at th...

Creating an ant line
I need to create a line of ants that shifts this way and that over the course of the animation. Is it possible to set an object to follow a spline and align along the spline while moving along it and running an animation. I could just animate them all by hand but there will be 100+ and I do not look...

Selgin, you're a genius! Your example caused a brilliant(or maybe not) idea to pop into my head: I could make rows of particle grass which would each animate slightly offset. Thus, a wave of grass. I shall attempt this at the earliest possible time and return here with my results. Thank you everyone...

The scene is a tree swaying in the wind with grass below it also swaying in the wind. The camera is close so I'd like each individual blade, but I like your idea of going for a more simplistic approach. I'll go check out Spirited Away and see if I can't come up with a decently simple style that will...

Grass in the wind
I'd like to create a field of grass that ripples in waves in the wind. Has anyone come up with a nice looking technique for this sort of problem? My attempts thus far have been miserable.

I must have missed the part of the manual speaking of importing .swf files. I read through it when I had the non-pro version of AS and skipped a few things because they didn't apply to me. I can view the .swf files fine. I just don't own Flash. I will try the evalution version and see how my files i...
