I also build transparent graduated filters in PhotoShop, export at 300dpi, then import to to ASP and make immune to Camera Moves.

Works very well, especially on 'faux vignetting' - mimicking a real lens effect where the light levels fall off towards the corners.

Transparent png works on import too so this format works well both ways. So you can export a png with transparency, then re-import it again as a new layer.

I agree with this ... for 3DTV, the focal length is important, the standard wide-angle setting produces keystoning. Backing the camera off fixes the distortion problem.

Having some kind of chart or feedback on the FOV angle will help a lot.

Just to clarify - there is no Black book or Sin Bin on this forum. The mod rules are simple: If a thread is not relevant to the topic it is posted in, it gets moved to the relevant place. If its Spam, it get moved to the Spam bucket. If its illegal, pornographic or whatever, it gets deleted. If a th...

From memory, there is also a licensing issue with Gif - its propitiatory and you have to pay a license few to use it in a program.

Re: A Technique for the non-artist?

I am experimenting with the notion of clay-mation type figures which I then photograph with a digital camera. Bring the photo into Studio and then trace it. Simple and fast to do various poses with simple figures. Move points for dramatic fore-shortened shots. Is anyone else using this technique? O...

Can I clarify my point: Yes this is hand drawn. But from work I was looking at last month, there might/could be a way of using some of the newer physics routines to achieve this. It's a little like the buffalo stampede sequence in the Lion King - Disney saw the potential of the then new flocking alg...

That looks a lot like 3D water physics - they have in Blender now and its pretty cool.

To do that in 2D would need knowledge of where the horizontal plane was. It could be scripted but not easy.

This is something which might be good to put forward as a new feature - the ability to link/unlink bones on the timeline, maybe as a hook. There are lots of situations where it would be useful - handshakes for instance. two characters fighting, throwing and catching a ball, etc Anyone have more thoug...

Rhoel, Adobe Audition is still part of the CS5 Master Suite. Just bought it near the end of last year. I don't know if you can purchase it separately, but I would think you could. Jack Okay - master collection CS4 has soundbooth: For me, I love Audition because you can import the video into one tim...
