Re: Referencing for animation

This is a topic that I, as an artist, have given a lot of thought to... and yes, the following is total opinion... Yes, as a student of art, you are literally taught to "Copy the masters", and when doing that you sign your work as "after rembrant" etc. Beyond the learning stage, ...

Thanks!
I will give that a try, I'm sure it will work.

Anime Studio 8.2 not working...

I have sent a bug report for this, but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this... I have been using Anime Studio since it was called Moho, and have been upgrading both my computer and Anime Studio along the way. I was at Anime Studio 6, and decided to upgrade my computer to OS X Mountain...

using a mask to hide things is very useful, can u explain for Noobs like us :D hi. There is only one use of a mask in this video. When the book opens to the page with the flaming heart, I used a mask to keep the flames restricted to just the page. Everything I know about masking I learned from this...

Nice combination of live action and animation! I think an alternative method to get the chair in front of the crab would be to put the crab character in a masking group in Anime Studio. That way it would only affect the crab and not the live action people and objects. I was thinking about that. Its...

A funny (I hope) short video with a pesky critter.

Here is an example of a live character interacting with an animated character. As always, its not very polished. I did this with just Anime Studio, Gimp and iMovie HD. Anime Studio did the video compositing. Can you guess what trick I pulled to get the crab to crawl from behind the chair, but in fro...

Playing with layers and live video

Here is a video, a bit rough around the edges. Its a mix of live video, animation, and music.

Its an example of playing around with layers in 3-D.

I did it with just Anime Studio, iMovie HD, Garage Band, and Gimp.

Hello stephen I liked it, quite a good come back to AS Pro. Just wanted to suggest a quicker and much more erratic flight path for the butterfly. You can find plenty of references on Youtube. Keep the good work coming! G Agreed. I actually spent most of my time fighting with file formats, I should ...

Simple live action plus animation.

I am getting back in to using Anime Studio, actually it was Moho the last time I posted here. Since this is also my first YouTube posting, I used the first animated character I made in Moho in the video. This is simple, but shows the potential of using Anime Studio to mix live action and animation. ...

really an awesome animation.

But do horses bend their legs backwards like that? You can see it in the last frame of the animation, the left front leg is bent backwards at the knee.

I also like your drawing very much. I have a couple more things to add to what was already said. I like the detail of the eye blinking but , though its real hard to see so forgive me if I'm wrong, only the right eye is blinking. People and cats blink both eyes together, unless they are winking. If h...

Gross to the point of being sick and disregarding of human dignity. Offensive hardcore gore.

You have skills as an animator.

I am a computer programmer in a research department by day. Outside of that I am an ameteur artist. I paint, write and compose music. I have always been interested in animation. As a teenager, I learned that you can strip the emulsion off of old color 8mm film by soaking it in water. That leaves you...
