I use both ways, one bone layer for everything, or several bone layers for several limbs. The second one gives me more visual control over the different timelines - this is the part I miss most in AS (I loved that in Animo). The advantages of one over the other mostly depends on the complexity of y...

Is the character's head a vector shape or shapes drawn in Moho? It's mainly in the head that I see a difference in your raster image. I am wondering if some form of image resampling is the cause. As for importing into Flash I never tried that. It's all vector art, I just never used strokes for it e...

I can't figure out how to export animation workably

This is in Moho. http://img174.imageshack.us/my.php?image=frieswalknov225jb1.swf It's basically good as an SWF, but if I import it into Flash 8, which usually renders video formats pretty good, it messes it up on import with sections being messed up with areas of color gone and generally screwey. If...

Re: Is it possible to make one bone layer for a characters w

heirarchies, so I was wondering if I can just have all the different vector layers that already was working, and just do all the bones in one bone layer so it's less complicated and there are less timelines involved. If this would even work with a two arms, two legs, one head with a neck character ...

Anime Studio only handles sound as a single soundtrack file for each project file, so you either have to pre-process or post-process your sound in an audio editor or audio-video editor. Regards, Myles. Yeah, Moho/AS is built as a component in animation work, there's no way to reasonably make more t...

you could either require mod approval if not too many people join every day(this is a serious art tool forum so people would be more apt to wait around a little bit) or if the transfer is not very long you could just shut down new membership. that last one was pretty obscene, and these are automatic...

Is it possible to make one bone layer for a characters walk?

This is with Moho, which I have had for a year but didnt really attempt to use because I was intimidated by that drawing interface. :( I'm not naive and as always I take this shot by shot, and for this shot even the entire shot is not going to use Moho, and not even the entire character but anyways....

I hate working alone, I can't wait to get to college, hopefully Cal Arts, because I like the creative energy from a bunch of motivated artists motivating each other further with merely our collective passion.

I didn't consider the Flash library and large project management features as another reason it's so popular. I like the vector drawing tools better but it's not very good for animation, and each release has nothing added for character animation because they dont even care. It's been used for some pr...

Ha, a cintiq *drool*. One point that confuses all discussions is that we all understand different things when we say "animation". Some think 3D-CGI. Some think classic 2D handdrawn Disney characters. Some think cut-out Bush photographs with a soundtrack full of fart gags. Some think Power...

Nobody, anywhere, should use Moho or Anime Studio to learn the art of animation. Unless you draw every frame in those programs, but the point is, dont use computer interpolation at all when learning. Learning takes all the effort and time of traditional animation, producing films is more about gett...

These are the guys who have developers putting X-sheets, peg boards and other outmoded "paper" like tools into digital programs so they can work the way it was done 50 years ago. Think about why X-sheets are used in animation industry for 75+ years now. They work. For a lot of tasks in an...

Most of those guys hate "the computer" anyway and only use it because it was a matter of life and death in the industry. Animators love the computer because it allows them to make their own films, do their own storytelling, independantly of major studio backing. It's simply a lower form o...

I meant anime is a dirty word in the animation industry, artistically as a style. I'll just say it's not that good of a style to be as far spread and used by so many, many people. No style should be used by that many people, because that is a hell of a lot of people using one style. Now for Moho and...
