walk cycle

I worked on the latest walk cycle tutorial last night. Very effective but only to the 24th frame. I tried many things including pulling my hair out but to no avail. I tried again this morning and almost got it just one or two little niggles. Here is what I did. I cycled all the bone layers back to z...

I agree, I saw a post elsewhere that someone was requesting that people post some of thier Moho files so that us novices can pull them apart and see how they tick.

Hey bupaje I have found the answer to our problem. I posted to the Carrara group on yahoo and ask the question but no reply , but I noticed that someone else was having problems exporting in dxf to move to another 3d program. Some one suggested using 'baker' and here its is. http://www.inagoni.com/n...

I was saving the file to the desktop. Maybe I should keep it saved in Carrara. The texture map I was saving as a jpeg, no png avaliable. The is all the extra info I can offer at the moment as I am at work.

obj revisited

My apologies to LM (realising you answer a lot of questions on this one) to start with I searched obj import posts but could not find anything specific to the problem I am experiencing. I have found that Carrara 3 can export an object with texture map using the wavefront format. What is happening th...

Black hole

Hi Moho-nians I was playing around with the scripts last night after upgrading to 5.0.9 and adding the new scripts. I used the Black hole effect on a quick drawing and it looks cool but I then tried on an imported image (ron raygun) and it could not be applied. Is this so? Will the script work only ...

I tried to import a Carrara 3 file into moho last night but it didn't work. I noted that C3 does not allow me to save a file as obj. which I assume is the problem. I will try Graphic converter tonight to see if I can convert the carrara file to and obj. file, otherwise I will have to upgrade to C4 w...

I have Carrara Studio version 2 through to 3. I did have some success but found that the time spent modeling, animating and rendering was to long for my liking, thats why I am back to Moho. The price is right, it is a powerful application but I would say you will need to dedicate some serious hours ...

Hi Myles, Also did some reading and scanning images into the computer as model sheets. Yes it seems any one cartooning book has around to to three pages to action poses then thats it. They also talk alot about the importance of angle in the cartoon and this does also relate to animation. I watch a c...

Thanks I will try it tonight. Myles thanks for all that information. My preference in animation is the "Mr Hell" "Ren & Stimpy" "Corniel & Bernie" style of drawing, mostly cause with some basic skills (and beleive me my skills are basic) you can make some half d...

Greetings learned Moho-nians, I would like to show off a couple of my very basic but even if I say so myself, highly entertaining animations. The problem is that they are large even as quicktime movies. The largest is over 7 meg compressed. These are to big for Yahoo. Does anyone know where else I c...
