Hi! This one could be useful (at least for one frame, I think, but maybe it could be modified?). I'm sorry I don't remember exactly how it works, I need to test it again when I be close to my computer.

Create Shape tool: Show end points in different color

Hi, I'm working with some very complex shapes (making some experiments to use Moho as a cleanup tool, by the way :) ) and many times I found this problem: I select several points to create a shape, but the vectors are not closed, so it's not possible to create the shape. In the image is very evident...

Re: A Cat Called Jam (behind the scenes)

I know Jeremy will cover this topic later, but for now I can say I'm extremely happy and proud about what we have done with the rigs in Jam. There are many new ideas and concepts applied to them (spoilers: I will never rig anything without using meshes again). Also, the short is looking great!

Re: 3D Plane Butterfly Wings

Well. Not the result I was hoping for. The .01 Z scaling makes it look like there is only one wing flapping. Too flat. I'm not sure about what is the problem in your file (sorry, I didn't have time to check properly), but here's a version working: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6u8lsjaujzcczds/Butterfly...

Re: 3D Plane Butterfly Wings

Just today I thought about a solution for this 3D problem! Just put the butterfly inside of a group and scale that group in Z to a value very close to 0 (0.01, for instance). Doing that, the software will consider the group (and everything inside it) as a flat object (so it won't look distorted when...

Re: Bezier points not working as expected

I use bezier curves a lot for animation. I think one of the "secrets" (it's not a secret, but I think maybe no one has posted it here yet) is to keep most of corners as peak (Ctrl+P). Bones will always move the bezier handles when bending a vector, so any corner made with handles will be distorted. ...

Split rectangles into triangles?

Hi, I have been using a lot of smart meshes for most of my characters and I normally prefer to create the triangles myself instead of using the "triangulate 2D mesh" option. The process is much longer, but gives me the chance to control exactly how I want the mesh to behave during the animation. Now...

Re: Shearing

Oh, wait! there's a way I used some time ago. Put your layers into a group and scale that group in Z to a very small value, like 0.001 (but not 0, because that can break the project). Now you can rotate the internal layers in 3D, but since the group is flat, they won't suffer any distortion when the...

Re: Shearing

It requires an extra step, but you could use a mesh to distort the layers.
You can use this tool over the mesh:
