Re: Why are layer types disabled but are just fine when restarting Moho?
I think the issue is that to create some layers you need to be on frame 0. Since frame 0 is where things are built, this is the behavior of the software by default. If you want to change it, you can go to Edit -> Preferences -> Tools and uncheck "Enable drawing tools only on frame 0". I ho...

Re: Live Text layer name length bug
Hi, Vern :) You can go to Edit -> Preferences -> Layer/Objects and uncheck "Auto-size Name column". Then you will be able to define a fixed size for the Name column. Now, if you have auto-size on, you can still drag the bar at the bottom of the Layers window to see the rest of the columns....

Re: Image to partlicles
You could also use a triangulated mesh and draw all the pieces there. The final result will be very similar to using masking, but the file will be way simpler.
As long as the pieces don't cross each other, you should be fine.

Gustaf Lindstrom uses a very interesting technique for mirroring head turns. You can watch his webinar here (Gustaf shows the technique around 24:30)

Re: Tips on drawing character for rigging
It's an interesting topic. I agree with Markus in most of the points. If you are making something short, it's better to have simpler rigs that can do the tasks you want. In the movies I have worked on, we usually create very simple rigs, animate the main movement and arcs with bones and then the det...

Re: Bone A randomly driven by bone B
I have a setup that could create something similar to what you are looking for (if I understood the idea). Please check this file . Re: Star wars visions 2
Visions 2 is now available on Disney+. I haven't been able to watch all of them yet, but I had the luck of working in Cartoon Saloon's "Screecher's Reach". There's a lot of Moho in it. The approach of mixing traditional + rigged animation was similar to what we did with "Wolfwalkers&q...

Re: Why can I not reparent this body bone to the Root?
If I'm following this correctly, it looks like the Bone you want to use as root is already a child of the next bone, so you will have make a couple changes in the hierarchy: - You need to be on frame 0 (unless what you want is to animate the bone hierarchy) - Select the bone you want to use as root,...

Re: Loop animation: export
Hello, Olga. I think there are at leat three options for what you want: - Export your 36 frames animation as an animated gif. By default, the gif will loop forever. - If you want to loop an exported video indefinitely, you can export the 36 frames as a video and setup your video player to loop it (m...
