Ah, there it is. There's always at least one typo that manages to elude my detection.

In my defense, the dot is on the Internet. We all know people can't spell on the Internet.

Thanks, though. The Road Runner cartoons were a huge influence on this.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, guys! I have a tendency to favor a slower, more deliberate pace, but it's true that people on the Internet aren't known for their long attention spans. I usually end up struggling to figure out how long I can drag something out before people start to lose inter...

Thanks, Tagirijus.

I never like to turn down the opportunity to make a secondhand vibrator joke.

Dotventure

If you've played enough old video games, perhaps you'll remember an Atari game called Adventure.

Well, I obviously remember it, anyway. Hence, a parody:

I fiddled a bit with that GIMP script, and after a couple of small changes, it seems to work. At least for me: XP SP3, GIMP 2.6.6, AS 5.6. I will, however, warn you in advance that I'm not much of a coder, and my changes--small though they may be--did involve a bit of guesswork. So, my code comes wi...

Thanks, everyone. I have one more of these, which I'll probably put up this weekend, if I have a spare moment or two.

There may or may not be more depending on whether I can get off my lazy butt long enough to animate them. ;)

All of the animations on my YouTube channel use AS, if any of them strike your fancy: http://www.youtube.com/user/arthbard If you don't want to sift through the whole lot, my favorite is here: http://arthbard.com/stickmanandcindy.MOV My latest is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35X-tBSnBZs And ...

Don Juan Frankenstein

I did this a couple of months ago. I considered trying to make the concept into on ongoing series, but because I'm lazy, I only ever animated four episodes. Here's the first one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McZHgHjUSE4 Episode 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dbgR_fepYo Episode 3: http://www.yo...

The length limit on AS Standard is 3000 frames, so the maximum length in terms of actual time varies depending on the frame rate you choose to animate at. 3000 frames at 24 fps, for example, comes out to just under 3 minutes. At 30 fps, it's a bit over a minute and a half. AS Pro has no such restric...

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you're worried about any possible issues relating to pixel dimensions. Content rendered from AS will be composed of square pixels. Unlike computer monitors, though, the pixels on an NTSC television are slightly elongated. Hence, if you render out your AS ani...
