Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

I second (or third, fourth, fifth, whatever) the request for you to get a talented artist to do the Character Wizard drawings and all other drawings such as those in the included content, user guides, and on your website pages. The extremely poor drawings you have now undoubtedly are an instant turn...

Thank you very much. Centering the initial rectangle on the "origin" is what I had neglected to do. I remade the box with this in mind and it worked perfectly. I'm still a little foggy on what the various values relate to, though. When you place such figures as "-.06" or "+1...

Depth Sorting Problem

I've assembled this four-sided box, but when I orbit around it the yellow side always covers the blue side. I have depth sorting turned on in the group, and there is never a problem between the red and green sides no matter from which angle I view the box. Changing the order of the blue and yellow s...

Where is the 3D house tutorial?

A while back I did, or at least saw, an Anime Studio tutorial where the positioning tools were used to create a 3D house out of 2D shapes. I even have a file of the finished project: 3D_house_1.moho. I would like to see how that was done, but I can't find the tutorial anywhere. Anyone know where I c...

I've tried everything that I can think of and am unable to import an OBJ file into Anime Studio. The only one that will work is the face file supplied with the 6.8 tutorial. I've tried exporting OBJ files from Carrara, SketchUp, Wings, and Shade, and none of those will import into AS. At best, you g...

mhhhh... are you sure you use the "Select Shape" tool to select the shape in the "Fill" subcategory in the "Tools" palette? Marco No, I hadn't done that. Tried it and it worked! You select your shape in the Layers palette, then click on the Select Shape button, and voi...

After some experimenting, it looks like you have to reassign the fill to the shape by selecting it, then hitting the spacebar to reset the style palette from "Default" to the name of your shape. Your shape's fill and line return to default settings and you have to redo the gradient by clic...

Yes, but when I select the shape, either in the main window or in the Layers palette, my Style palette doesn't say "Shape" at the top like yours does. It still says "Defaults for new shapes," and the details button is grayed out.

Do you mean in the Styles palette? That only shows default settings for new shapes.

Where is the "pop-up" menu?

Re: "If you want to change the gradient settings later, click the details button to the right of the pop-up menu."

So where do I find this pop-up menu?

That's terrific, JH, both the video and the fact that you won the prize. Can't heap enough praise on you for your creativity and execution...but on the theory that nothing is ever perfect, I think that the beads of sweat when the potato holds a long note could be more visible. Larger and fewer of th...

That's really good, Philly! Although the sound was a little garbled, the voice was right for the character and the lip sync just about perfect. You have talent! If you can see your own "weaknesses" then there's nothing to stop you from improving with each new effort. Keep plugging.

"Open recent..." and red-click for project only

These are two elementary things, but really needed. First, it would be useful to have an "Open recent..." choice in the File menu. Second, in the Mac version, when you click the red ball on an open project window it should only close the project, not the entire application. The way Anime S...

That's a nice drawing, attractive colors. The animation is good too. Just a suggestion--try adding some damping to the hair and see if the animation as a whole works a little better.

Yes, I am on a Mac. I hope Anime Studio engineers are aware of the problem. Has this been mentioned before?
