Re: Error upon re-export.

Alternatively, you can simply add a numerical suffix to the filename to creat a new version, and the export will work properly. Only if you replace a file will it fail.

Error upon re-export.

I've noticed that if I export something (and the movie file created works), and then re-export for whatever reason, replacing the original, that the new movie file created will not be usable. Mac, Mountain Lion. Anyone else have this problem? https://img.skitch.com/20121004-jiwm2gejiyuaimymx6b13pi3i...

The question is one of how long will the user base continue to support the software at $130/upgrade? The inclusiveness that was once enjoyed will start to dwindle, there are already several power users that once were here and were helpful but now are no-more. That is impossible to determine. Assumi...

iMovie would actually suffice if all I wanted to do was interact with objects in front of the actor, but I want the actor to interact with objects all around. Unfortunately I can't afford even FCE right now, there's a good chance I might have to hold off until I can. However, an idea that I had, whi...

I wish you would simply use the program to the best of your ability, because no one cares what software you used to create your animation. They only care if your animation is good. Are you trying to get into a company? They might then tell you what software they consider acceptable, but that would m...

Creating AVI with alpha?

Does anyone know how to go about this? I want to have a live actor interacting in a cartoon world. I went out and got some green fabric and can light it uniformly, using it in applications like iMovie produce an adequate cutout. However, even knowing how to use a search engine, I cannot seem to find...

I think the obvious questions are about how business with Content Paradise works. Is there an approval process for submitted rigs? Do you determine your own pricing and what is CP's cut? How often does CP pay out? Any pointers about dealing with CP other than 'creating the best rigs you can' and a g...

Although, strictly speaking, The Last Airbender isn't anime (because it isn't produced in Japan) Strictly speaking, a ton of anime is not anime then, since Japanese properties are regularly outsourced to Korean animation studios. What? Does that mean expressionism is only authentic if done ...

That works, but some people have CONTENT in the start up file. You can't do that by saving the defaults. For instance if you are working on a large ongoing project you could use a specific startup file that has pre-loaded styles and layers already in place. It does seem odd to me that the startup f...

After deleting the startupfile.anme, you can just alter the 'plain' file's project settings and click the 'Save as Default' button though, no? I prefer to work at 16:9, so I just saved it as the default for new files. It works.
