Re: TOON BOOM getting sold to a PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM?!?!

I am not sure this is exactly good news for Toonboom. Especially creative software needs dedicated and understanding management. Instead they are now one of many other "assets" in a portfolio of a comany that describes it's operations as "technology driven trading".

Show Curves only in Areas surrounding the Mouse

Just came into my mind, since I often (try to) tweak my shapes with curves turned off: it would be nice to show hints of curves and points around the mouse cursor, like a spotlight. When the mouse is away from curves the artwork looks clean again..

Re: Save Tracing Image with Project

The reason I am not using this a lot is because I do not like the way GPU renders the scene in the viewport. Non-active layers are at a perceived quarter resolution or so. I guess this made sense 15 years ago, but most modern GPUs should be able to sustain higher quality at full resolution. Anyway t...

Yep that's the spirit :) I still DO hope we'll get multi-layer editing at some point.

Re: Bigger CTI

As an alternative I'd like to point to the brilliant script "Scrub Workspace" which (mostly) eliminates the necessity to grab the CTI at all. Bound to a hotkey You can move the playhead by dragging anywhere on the canvas. (I'll return later to update the post with a link...) Thanks synthsi...

Move Points In All Selected Layers

I'd kill for this :) The workarounds are known, and I have tried the magnet-across-layers script. Still I so much miss the ability to just select points across two or more layers at once and quickly fix the shapes. Sometimes, even with careful planning, last minute changes are necessary. With a char...

Save Tracing Image with Project

Hey there, I've been using Moho on a regular basis for a couple of months now for editorial illustrations. One regular pain point is that tracing images are not saved with the project. So, the suggestion is to save them with the project :)

Re: How to view Thumbnail Previews in Finder?

Cool thanks. Keeping this one for reference. How macOS handles previews has been a total mystery until now, and I never bothered. This digging sheds a little light.

Re: How to view Thumbnail Previews in Finder?

SimplsSam You gave me the last hint I needed to resolve this. I managed to bring back thumbnail previews, with a little time spent in the macOS Terminal. 1) I downloaded the latest Moho 12.5 from the link above 2) The .pkg won't "Show contents" but can be expanded with "pkgutil -- exp...

Re: How to view Thumbnail Previews in Finder?

On Macs, inside the home directory is a folder called Library/QuickLook. This is apparently the place where Quicklook preview generators (and I assume thumbnail generators) go - at least there is a file called MohoQuickLookPlugin.qlgenerator which, unfortunately, is Zero bytes big. Could any mac use...

How to view Thumbnail Previews in Finder?

Hey there, is there any way to have Finder showing thumbnail previews? Except for the document preview thumbnail size I haven't found related settings and am seeing a Moho icon only.

I am on latest Moho, MacOS Ventura 13.2.1 (Apple M1).

Re: Copy Paste Vector Script

Many years later: I was just wondering if there is the equivalent of "merge layers" for Moho. Turns out, this is it. And it is still working :) (Moho 13.5).

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Selection to new layer

Thanks Greenlaw, the script is working fine and comes pretty close to what I was looking for. For the opposite cases, where I quickly want some layers recombined, I found an older script that "combines meshes". Or in other words, merge layers for Moho: https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/view...

Re: Selection to new layer

Thanks Dave, I am aware of the regular tools. Actually the creation of each layer type can be assigned to a different shortcut, which I already have done. But even with that, creating layers tends to break my drawing flow, that's why I prefer to draw first and separate then. And since cutting - laye...
