I would like to know if the digital version now includes Windows and OSX now?

Before (I have V5 Pro) it was a separate purchase while the physical version came with both.

Yes, their P-politics are weird. And they don't offer a crossgrade Win->Mac either. Got told from their support that I have to by a new license. I guess that is the disadvantage when you buy a download version. Well, not always but with SM.

The application uses multiple threads, but not the rendering function specifically. A multi-core CPU will not speed up the rendering process, but it will keep your computer more responsive so that you can keep working on your animation while a render is running. Actually I will then go the parallels way. Much easier and cheaper. 80 Euro for Parallels and 80 Euro for another WinXP CD.

I understand it when you buy the CD, you get both versions for the price of one. But maybe I'm wrong.

Update: The final answer from SM is, that I have to pay the full price to get the Mac version. Makes not really sence to me as when you order a physical version from them, you get a hybrid CD with the windows AND the mac version on it. :?:

Hi folks, I'm switching to Mac OSX and would like to know how Smith-M handles purchases made from E-Frontier? I saw that today you can buy a hybrid CD for the same price as the electronic downloads.
