Re: Westworld Animated- Old Greyhound

I'm also interested in seeing/hearing more about these smart mesh background elements (if you do decide to create any sort of tutorial)!

Re: Rotating bone slows the program

I've also had this problem in 12.5 and 13, even on rigs that seem pretty simple. I usually make it a point to hide all non-essential scene elements and sometimes will even hide parts of the rig that I don't need to see (example: if you're animating the legs of a character, you might hide the head/to...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting

Wow, really impressive stuff! Does this level of complexity bog down the rig considerably?

Re: Layer disappears with Smart bone dial

Oh, I see. Sorry, I misunderstood what was happening. Hopefully it wasn't too complex of a rig!

Re: Layer disappears with Smart bone dial

It sounds like it's behaving as anticipated. The main timeline (and any keyframes you've created for the main bone group) should disappear in favor of the timeline you've created for this new action. The double actions you're seeing are probably due to the "separate actions for positive and negative...

Re: Moho is updated to 13.0.1

Still zero performance improvements on the Mac. Moho 13 is still close to unusable on my Mac*, while version 12 is quite zippy. Man if that stuff doesn't get fixed I'm seriously considering using some other software. *(MBPro late 2016, 16 GB RAM, Razor Core X eGPU with Vega 64 GPU). Jumped on the M...

Re: Edit freehand tool with saved settings?

Ahh, thanks for your help! I tried updating the tool list in the custom content folder but didn't see any change. Updating the tool list within the actual main installation directory did the trick, though!

Re: Moho's future

Do you guys think it will still exist for some time? How close is it to become an industry standard I'm sure the software (as it currently exists) will be usable for quite some time. Case in point - I still use Autodesk/Softimage XSI 2012, which I believe was released back during Windows 7, but it ...

Re: Edit freehand tool with saved settings?

So glad I found this thread! It's awesome having a stroke-only tool/shortcut! My only question is (after duplicating and adjusting the lm_freehand.lua file), is it possible to have this tool appear in the "Draw" tools sidebar next to the original freehand tool, rather than appearing in the "Other" s...

Re: Reasonably Priced Laptops for Moho 12?

When not using my desktop, I also run Moho 12 (and now 13) on a modestly spec'ed/priced refurbished Surface Book (i7, 8GB RAM). Although my desktop runs the software much better, I usually use the laptop to work on smaller elements individually (and with the display quality set to medium or low), ra...

Re: Moho's future

So what? The old versions will still work fine. Why are people so obsessed with "do respectable studios use it"? If it fits for your project, use it. If not, don't. I'm assuming their concern might involve investing more time into learning Moho, only to find that there aren't many freelance opportu...

Re: towyard: the game!

Sorry to hear you're leaving Moho for Toon Boom Harmony. I agree that Harmony has more advanced freehand drawing tools and is better for FBF work but for advanced puppet rigging, IMO, it's actually a lot easier to do this in Moho. But if you do get Harmony, there's no reason you can't use both prog...

towyard: the game!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ftmvvcsXxY I think this might be my last Moho cartoon for awhile. I'm going to give ToonBoom a try and see if it better aligns with the workflow I seem to be moving into. For this cartoon, I wanted to get a hand-drawn look, but without having to FBF everything, so, I...

Re: Moving limbs between layers

I think this problem has many solutions, so, I can only give my personal approach (I'm sure there are better ones out there!). Are you using the Pro version of Moho? If so, I would most likely put the perch below the main bird rig, and then right click on the bird rig and create a reference layer. D...
