Is sub frame mb supposed to work with smart warp

I have an object I've animated only using smart warp. Motion blur works, but not sub frame.

Re: how to minimize rope distortion bungee jumper

Thanks for the advice. I want the rope to initially look like it does in the original image. I'll try and straighten it with puppet warp in Photoshop, then bend it back in Moho and see how that works. I've done something similar before with physics but it was less complicated. https://i.imgur.com/UL...

how to minimize rope distortion bungee jumper

The image on the left is the original. The rope is on a separate layer and has a lot of bones. I'm using gravity and pivot on origin for the animation but as you can see it doesn't look very natural. Is there a way to get a better result? Should I chop the rope up into smaller pieces? Thanks! https:...

moving keyframes on Retina Macbook

I work on a Retina Macbook Pro and am having difficulty moving keyframes. There seems to be an extremely small area you have to click on to click-drag a keyframe and half the time I end up deselecting instead. Is there a way to expand the influence of the cursor so I don't have to be quite so precis...

Re: Layer rotation in 3D space

Never mind. I'm going to do this is Motion 5. There's a "use orientation" setting for transforms that does the trick.

Re: Layer rotation in 3D space

update: I found a workaround but it's a real pain. If I rotate all the triangle shapes in Photoshop so one edge is at 90 degrees, reimport to Moho, add the rotation keyframe for the 3D rotation, then rotate the layer folder in 2D to put the image back into position. I'd be grateful if anyone could s...

Layer rotation in 3D space

Is there a way to rotate the triangle shape layer so it folds over the other like they're attached with a hinge? I've tried it with the origin set at the top corner and also center, but either way it doesn't rotate the way I want it to.

Re: using Moho for non-cartoon animation

...But regardless of how it renders, shouldn't Moho display the image with the same detail it has in Photoshop? This old thread may not explain the specific issue, but it does shed light on why you shouldn't expect pixel perfect rendering: Serious render quality problem Thanks for the link. That's ...

Re: using Moho for non-cartoon animation

Yeah, the aspect shouldn't change but with default settings there may be some render differences due to anti-aliasing and other quality processes (as Wes mentions.) BTW, Higher Quality scales up the render internally and then applies AA. This gives you higher quality at the expense of much higher r...

EDIT: And enable higher quality rendering.
Didn't help. The problem doesn't seem to be rendering because the image also looks different (slightly softer) after importing.

It shouldn't be...could you post a comparison? TBH, if it does, I've never noticed. Okay, now I'm curious. here's the image I placed: https://i.imgur.com/XRZoQhI.png and the rendered result (nothing was done to the image): https://i.imgur.com/OSKYfKD.png Compared to the original the images is sligh...

using Moho for non-cartoon animation

Wow, this app is really impressive. So far I haven't done cartoon animation but I'm animating images for GIFs using smart mesh and bones and experimenting with the physics engine. Stuff like this: https://i.imgur.com/wBj5tBa.gifv https://i.imgur.com/ERIG2QQ.gifv Anyway, I noticed that even if I do n...
