Looks great! I guess robots are a popular subject. :) Slightly OT but I was hoping to do a bit with 5 robots and the number of fingers each had based in part on a character I did in PSP http://www.silicondragons.com/~bupaje/cgtalk_twins.jpg . Can I ask if the fill used in the robot is an image? I tr...

Thanks!

Just wanted to send you all a quick thank you for your ready responses to the noob questions. Your comments on my questions helped a few things click and I have been poking at animating simple geometric shapes just to figure out the relationships with the bones alone, to the children and using group...

'Tileable' layers, undo history, misc ...

In case you ever run out of ideas here are a couple random ideas .... 1. I've drawn lots of seamless tiles and was thinking it might be nice to be able to draw a vector layer then be able to offset it on x, y just like Photoshop and adjust the vector layer so that it is seamless in the x or y or bot...

I hope to enter something simple for the experience; I sketched up a cool idea but it is actually beyond my abilites to do by the due date (given my 4 hours flight time with Moho so far). Going to try to rein in my enthusiasm and do something more realistic given my skill set. I do have a long weeke...

Rats, sorry just realized I didn't save the boned version. :/

[Edit: Just tried what you said by removing the group folder and it does work better. Something is starting to click in my head (got to see a doctor about that clicking ;) ), going to experiment a bit more -thanks.

I actually added the group folder later I think after trying other things but at this point I've resorted to guess work so I appreciate your offer.

Not sure if you are interested but I had bookmarked some similar software a while back. I found two of the links in the clutter. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/heatons/softsoft/wintopo/index-free.htm this is a freeware version of their commercial product. There is also another one on sourceforge http:...

[noob]Still having some bone problems

Not sure what I am not getting right. When I do the Frank tutorial the bones work as advertised I tried doing the same to my fish and when I move teh child bones in the tail they seem to be 'disconnected.' http://stormvisions.com/moho/fish2a.jpg Not sure what I might be doing wrong? Not sure if it j...

Thanks for the tip. I actually was thinking particles might be a cool way to have small groups of 'bait fish' shoot around. Right now I was just trying for something basic to get a handle on using Moho but I hope to do much more so all suggestions are appreciated. :)

Forget number 3, one of those mental slips I'm prone to. The bones should help with the fins and I'm off to try now.

[noob]Importing objects & misc questions 2

First, you may consider starting a Beginner forum if my noob questions don't belong in the 'how do I' forum but if I don't ask the embarassingly simply questions I'll never get to where I want to go. :) I have some weird memory problems so I may be off to a slow start and ask some obvious questions ...

I hang out at the 3D Game Studio community www.conitec.com and there have been a few good community ezines that are very popular -might be a market for a similar thing if there are enough Moho users. One of the magazines is a free monthly job and there are two paid mags -about $5/month; one focuses ...

...while it might be viable in 3D, it would likely be kind of a problem in 2D, or at least Moho's point/curve model. Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. I may peek at some of this a few months down the road when I get the basics and some coding under my belt. I was checking out some simila...
