Re: Forum software update

Mike,

Thank you for keeping things going all of these years.

Have you thought about starting a Patreon (or similar) to cover the expenses of keeping this forum going?

I just installed it as instructed. The serial number worked but afterwards it would crash on startup.

However, I did find a fix. If it crashes on startup, "Run As Administrator" once and it should work after that. :)

digitalartguru: Great cover. Thank you for sharing that. :-) InfoCentral: Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed with Smith Micro. I wouldn't have minded so much if I hadn't payed for the FULL version because their website wouldn't accept either of my serial numbers (I have Full licenses for 5 & 7). So I feel...

Anime Studio Pro 8 Physical version - No Box?

I received my copy today and was rather disappointed that Smith Micro didn't even bother to put it in a retail box. The discs and quick start booklet came shrinkwrapped together in a UPS envelope. One of the main reasons I paid the extra $10.85 for shipping and ordered the physical retail version wa...

Missing Serial Code

I did a search before posting this to try to find an answer. I bought the Physical version of ASP7 from Amazon. There is not a serial number anywhere in the box. Its not on either CD Sleeve, nor is it in the Quick Start Guide. The page of the invoice that lists ASP7 was missing from the package (I o...

Cyber Monday is the first Monday after Thanksgiving.

It is the internet equivalent to Black Friday where internet retailers such as Amazon.com offer amazing deals for one day only. :)

When I bought Anime Studio Pro 5, I bought the download version.

I'm curious that if I order the physical version of the upgrade, would the old serial number be enough or would it expect the CD-Rom from the physical version of ASP5?

I also started on the Amiga myself. :D I first started animating sprites in Amos and short animations in a program called "Spectracolor Jr" that came on a magazine coverdisk on my A500. Later, I bought a second-hand A1200 that came with a ton of software, including DPaint IV AGA. From ther...

Re: Software To Stretch, Liquify Images?

Hi. Just wondering if anyones aware of any economical animation or video effects software that allows you to alter image layers similar to how the "liquify" effect in Photoshop will stretch any part of an image you apply it to. Thanks. You could try out PD Pro (aka Project Dogwaffle). I b...

I believe hardly any boxed program comes with fully printed documentation nowadays. It seems to be a way to cut costs for the manufacturers (or "optimize" profit if you view it from another perspective). That is true. I noticed that some companies sell the printed manual to their software...

I am just guessing, but I would say no considering the excellent HTML documentation that comes with AS Pro which is the same that came with Moho. My advice is go through all the tutorials. They are basic, but they cover just about every aspect of the program. I'm not discounting the html documentat...

Anime Studio Boxed Version seen on store shelves!

I was at Fry's Electronics today and saw the boxed version of Anime Studio 5 (standard and Pro versions). I had hoped to order the boxed version from Content Paradise or E-Frontier but had to settle for the download version instead to get the crossgrade price. However, after picking up the bo...

While I am bummed that my procrastination has lead to me having to pay more for Moho/Anime Studio (when I get the money), I am VERY happy for the creator. I find it truly inspiring that such wonderful software got picked up by a big company and will finally get the exposure that it deserves. Way to ...
