Re: How do I do a "twist"?

I figured it out; not necessarily a shortcut, but far easier than my other idea, which involved way too many sacrifices to be legal. He only wanted the twist to take 1 second, so I loaded the logo into photoshop, and did 24 "twist" effects, each one 1 degree less than the other, so that wh...

How do I do a "twist"?

So, I had a guy contact me about re-creating his logo, and having it "twist" in the middle. How can I achieve this? Is there a shortcut?

For sure. I like the way he looks, but something just looks... off. I can't explain it.

New character concept

Started sketching the head at work today, ended up roughing out the whole body; put the whole thing together when I got home.

I'm still working on the hands and feet, but everything is fully rigged. What do you guys think?

Board Contest

Would anyone be interested in doing something like this? We could pick a topic, a time limit, and a deadline. Organize everything in one thread here, and set up voting the same way. The reason I ask is because I feel like I'm not challenged to push myself out of my comfort zone, and I think a contes...

How long have you been using AS?

Just as a point of curiosity; how long has everyone been using Anime Studio?

Re: Let's see if this rig can dance!

It looks like she left her friends behind. Clearly, they are no friends of mine.

On point though, this was great. The way the clothing moved was really cool. How did you do that? Are the clothes a separate layer altogether?

Re: NarrAnimation Episode 2

Nice one! Your story telling is great. One thing I was wondering about was the font for "Nick" in the intro. It looks like you're using wingdings instead of letters? Is that an inside joke? Thanks! It's actually a font called "Ninja", where each character is a ninja, and the let...

Ctrl + R, then click the Save As button. Easy as pie. Easier maybe, pie gives it up pretty quickly.

NarrAnimation Episode 2

I done did it again. Episode 2 of my series. I took some of your feedback to heart, such as always have something moving, and made sure to move points to hide the break points in joints. Anyway, enough talk, check out the video!

Re: The Siren Tease

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. It was a gut impulse to go with the silent approach, and I think the "direction confusion" hindered it. Watching it again, it really does confuse the issue. Referring to the song, that was a public domain loop I found on freesound.org. I think it fits v...

The Siren Tease

I follow Kevin Seccia on twitter - he's a very funny guy, and he often tweets stuff that makes me laugh. Yesterday, he tweeted something that I thought would make a GREAT animation, so I asked him if I could animate it, and he was all "Cool!" So I animated it. I tried to improve my techniq...

Re: Pitching to Nickelodeon and The cartoon network

Now...as a real business man AND a force to be reckoned with, should your perfume products be criticized, would you reshoot your commercials into spamming messages like "YOU GUYS ARE DICKS, STOP BEING MEAN TO ME WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH!?" I knew there was a reason I kept coming back to this t...
