Motion Rulers Layers

Maybe it isn't necessary or someone might have came up with a work around. But, I would like to have a non-rendering layer or group set were I can put in rulers to at a minimum mark my extremes while working with smart bones. Like a arc I can manipulate without effecting a the smart bone action if I...

Re: Can't figure what this layer type is

Do you mean these: http://i63.tinypic.com/2prgoz7.png On the bone layer, this means animated layer sorting is enabled, and on the vector layer, it means animated shape sorting is enabled. Yes, exactly. Amazing how such a little thing took me out of my focus. Currently just building characters and a...

Can't figure what this layer type is

I keep seeing layers in other's projects that have what looks like a staircase going up to a bone or vector layer. What type of layer is this and what does it mean? I've searched the manuals and tried looking online, but either I missed it or couldn't find it. Is this something awesome that will unl...

Re: ASP11.2 "stops working" in 32-bit mode

Yes, I am also having the same issues on my HP Pavilion (windows 10) with touch screen functionality. The crashes only occur when I actually use the wacom tablet. When mine shuts down in 64 bit mode, my 32 bit version will not work either until I reboot the system. I am using a old Intous 3 but it i...

Using a older Wacom causing crash in Windows 10

Was wondering if anyone is using a tablet with AS11 on Windows 10. I have a older Wacom Intous 3 that has served me well over the years and still works great in my draw and paint programs. But when I use the Wacom pen in AS11, I get crashes almost immediately when try to edit or draw. With the mouse...

I am having the same problems with imported .jpg in AS 11.
Is there a setting I missed?

Re: Rigging Characters that have props?

Wow, Thanks for all the info. I think I need to try this with more of a front view character. My current character's perspective is being really uncooperative for rigging for whatever reason.

But all the advice is great. I think I may have jumped into the deep end too soon.

Thanks.

Re: Rigging Characters that have props?

Right on! That is exactly it. I just got v10. But haven't spent a lot time with it just yet. But that's about to change. Appreciate all the help. Hopefully I will have some progress to post in a week or two.
Thanks again for all the help.

Re: Rigging Characters that have props?

Thanks, I will have to give that a shot. Also, thanks for the character compliment. Figure since I am not tattooing full time anymore I should explore some old passions that are digitally more accessible these days. I used to do a lot of work in Director back in the 90s and early 2k's. Stopped writi...

Rigging Characters that have props?

So, I am still really new to effective rigging and the ways of animating characters in a puppet like fashion. My dilemma is that I have this character holding a guitar. So, one arm is in front and the other behind. I would like to create a single skeleton rig, but don't want the guitar to get distor...

Re: Animated Band Flyer

Thanks for the comments. @heyvern - yes, I did draw up the character in AS 9.5. The lettering was done in Photoshop but exported into PNG using Fireworks. For whatever reason PS wouldn't do a proper transparent PNG. Eps's out Illustrator all were shaky during playback without any animation on the wo...

Animated Band Flyer

Hello all, I am a newbie with AS. Only been dabbling in it for a couple months. Started with something that I bit off way more than I could chew. So. took a step back to try something at a more manageable scale first. I got a lot to learn about the program and get past some of the walls with the dra...
