dazza101: I use EditStudio Pro and like it quite a bit. You can have unlimited audio, video, and effect tracks, and the text effects are pretty good. There are many transitions you can use. I'd say it's a mid-level video program. I especially like the options to export a movie for use in a DVD, whic...

Absolutely yes! I can't tell you how many hours I have tried to accomplish something only to wind up fighting buggy 3D (also 2D) software and having to learn workarounds, only to give up. IMO, 3D is nice for stills, but I've never gotten any animation done with it beyond a few basic exercises. I jus...

Yep, you're right! My bad... I tried your test in Moho (not Anime Studio). You can't use images with bone animation and export it to SWF. So, it's not new to Anime Studio. I bet it's a Flash limitation. My animatic didn't use bone animation, just layer animation, so that must be why it worked for me.

Now this is odd... I can play a flash export with PNG images. I'm working on an animatic right now with nothing but PNG images, and it works fine. I have AS Pro, though. I'm not sure about plain AS.

Maybe translating the background across the screen and then using a cycle would work.

If you're just using the Add point tool to draw, you have to be careful to have your cursor over the last point you drew before starting to draw another stroke. Otherwise, you end up with two disconnected lines. With the freehand tool, you just draw strokes like a pencil, but you end up with more po...

I burned the application CD files on one CD, and the other two zip files on the second CD.

Vern, I accept your apology. :) Thanks.

Verizon has said that they are planning to get DSL service to all areas of my state by the beginning of next year. I'm going to hold them to that.

Thank you, Myles. :D No, I have a 56K modem, but because I live in a rural area, the fastest speed it will work at is 28.8. Something about analog-to-digital conversions. Anyhow, I'm sorry this discussion has gone so far off course. I guess only e-frontier can answer the original question (when will...

... especially when one does not have broadband access... So... you would wait... two days... or even three days... .. to get a box with a CD... because... the download may take several hours? If I had no other choice, yes. Fortunately, my workplace does have broadband, but others may not be so luc...

Very interesting - thanks for the info.

BTW, I found some screenshots of older versions of Moho on the Wayback Machine (http://www.archive.org) by searching for lostmarble.com. The interface has changed a lot (and for the better, IMO).

Question about AS interface

Just curious... Does Anime Studio owe its "look" to BeOS, Lua, or something else? Anime Studio/Moho's interface doesn't look like any other program I've seen. The fonts, dialog boxes, and so on don't look like either a Mac or Windows program. I do notice a little Mac-like behavior when cho...

IMO, it's not the "physical box" that's so appealing, but the "physical CDs" that come inside it... especially when one does not have broadband access
